"How...strange." "It appears the train has arrived." He continued, and I turned my head to see the spectacle that had everyone cheering. The train was blacker than the night, shaped like a long bullet. The color wasn't flat by any means, but set with brilliant shimmers and sparkles. The sight reminded me of the night sky. Dark, endless, yet beautiful. The long windows were tinted with a dark film, blocking the inside of the train from sight. The train hissed as it came to a stop, two sliding doors positioned right where I stood.

And there, winding through the narrow canyon, was the train. The Iron Behemoth. It was massive—twenty cars long, armored in black steel, carrying the glowing red ore that would power the end of the world. "Target acquired!" Vane yelled. "Three hundred feet! Two hundred!" "Level out!" Tristan screamed, pouring power into the lift runes. The ship groaned, the wood flexing dangerously. The descent slowed. They leveled out, skimming just above the canyon walls. They were flying parallel to the train, matching its speed.

They felt uncomfortable to wear, but the thick and soft material instantly provided a warm sensation, rescuing my almost numb hands from the cold. "Please, get inside, Miss," Jesse asked me for the second time. He still kept his eyes down and avoided looking at me. I was slightly annoyed by his indifferent attitude. Nonetheless, I obeyed his request and entered the train. After the door closed, Jesse didn't immediately take his place in the driver's seat. Instead, he walked to the back where the train's pantry was located. I felt a slight jolt and saw the light coming in through the open back door of the train.

She fell asleep shortly after the train started, and in a daze, she heard the announcement of the next station and woke up, realizing that the next stop was LA. She instantly regained consciousness, took a sip of water, and soon the train arrived at the station. Jessica walked quickly and was almost the first one to exit the train station. She intended to call Terry, but as soon as she took out her phone, she heard a familiar voice saying, "Jessica."

I put everything back into the cardboard box before Daniel offered to carry it. As Daniel and I began to leave, we noticed that Cain had stayed back with Jai. "You two can go ahead, we'll be out in a minute," Cain said, noticing we had stopped to wait. Daniel shrugged and turned to me. "Follow me," he said, wiggling his eyebrows. I stepped off the train into one of the most gorgeous trainbstations I had ever been in. It was small, but the natural-colored sandstone walls and floors were crafted beautifully. It was underground, the ceiling was constructed of multi-colored mosaic tiles that pieced together to depict a vibrant forest.

She nodded at them and gave them a timid smile as she walked toward Ben. "We found them," she said without preamble. She kept her words businesslike. "There's a train at the far end of the depot, the southwest corner. There are six trains lined up in a row and the one at the farthest corner has missiles in the last six cars. We counted around four hundred and eighty-eight. There were more, but I couldn't see under all of the piles." Ben looked to Xander. "That's about as many as we expected," he said softly. Xander nodded. "We can reach the train depot with our mortars."

'By the way, Alpha, have you checked the recent accounting documents my father’s office forwarded to you? "Jesse turned to me and smiled. 'Yeah, I did.'" "'Uhm…how was it? Do you have any questions?'" "'Well,' Alpha Jesse put his elbows on the table before continuing, 'I do have a question regarding last month’s budget for warriors. A section in the dossier said that we purchased some training equipment, but I have yet to see those in the training ground when I visited it today. I wondered if there had been some problem with the shipment or whether there was a mistake made on the paper forwarded to me.'"

Felix came back. “I am killing everyone on this train, including the captain. It's all a plot by whoever is controlling this train, they say that there is no trace of her ever being on this train and that I am hallucinating. The boarding tickets? That too has no record of her. No scent, nothing. Even the registration for the room has been erased, they say the fucking cabin was never booked. Vinx wants the train stop moving but guess what? It is run by a system and that captain is an AI with orders not to stop the train."

He looked weak, nose bleeding. "Exit strategy?" Sebastian supported him. "The Supply Train," Kenji pointed to the elevator. "It leaves in 5 minutes for the mainland." "It's a Maglev. Bullet train speeds. If we miss it, we are dead." They ran to the elevator. As the doors closed, a hologram of Takeshi Nakamura appeared in the hallway. The father looked at his escaping son. "Disappointing, Kenji," Takeshi’s voice was cold. "You run away with thieves."
