My focus shifted to the window, where there was obviously orange sunshine pouring through the curtain. I sat up sluggishly and craned my neck. After lying down for too long, my entire body hurts. Thankfully, the headache had subsided somewhat. I tossed the covers away and went to the kitchen to drink water. When I noticed the apple in the fruit basket, I munched one and went to the window. The sun lowering over the horizon illuminated the crystal-clear sky, which had a golden color.

I scoffed; my eyes fluttering closed as the gentle sounds of the forest lulled me to sleep. When we woke, I pulled myself out of Atlas’s arms with pink cheeks and flustered movements before straightening the tunic and pants I wore. Atlas gave me a flimsy grimace and mussed up his already disheveled hair before climbing out of bed. The sunlight had gone from dazzling to gentle. Golden yellow rays became softer, lighting the sky in bright hues of orange and red. Through the green-tinted glass, I could see the outline of three moons in the sky, each one at a different phase.

"Their backs are turned: they're on the edge of the garden. We'll move out slowly, then walk to the edge of the forest. Then we'll escape together. Alright?" I nodded. "Alright." He offered his hand to me and I slipped my fingers into his. However tanned he looked, his hand was as cold as ice. "Ready?" He asked, and I nodded in the affirmative. And together we slowly stood up from under the table. Again the sight of several dead people met my eyes. It was hard to look away, hard to ignore the blood and the unseeing eyes and the cold, deathly silence. Hard to see where people had once dined on my account, flowing with blood. My heart was broken beyond fixing.

"Mom—?" "Shussh!" Rita put a finger on Zara's lips. "The earth and the moon orbit the sun. The sun had not been shining on us for a while now, but you just brought us out from under the shade and let the dazzling sun warm us," Rita's voice was shaky. Zara stared at her mother, not knowing what to say. Now that she was closer to her mom, she could see that she looked different. She was indeed healthier than before. "Mom?"

Could it be because the mud was bubbling? Thinking of this, the Sun God seemed to understand something and wanted to leave. Da! Another subtle sound sounded, as if it was provoking the Sun God. When he looked back, everything was still normal, as if nothing had happened. However, just as he was about to turn around, he suddenly seemed to find something. It was light! Within his space, other than the black and white, as well as his golden light... there was actually another light. The green ink was like jade, and it was extremely verdant when it scattered.

TWENTY-FOUR Collins stood before Ajax's black raspberry farm. The array of trees scattered on the landscape was a beautiful sight to behold. So was the bright orange glow of the sunset sinking into the horizon. Watching it, he had flashbacks of several moments like that. Those would be he and April watching the sunset every week while they ate burgers. It was a sacred moment that stopped when her condition became severe as she didn't need much exposure to the sun. Collins squeezed his eyes shut, remembering the way the light dimmed in her eyes with each day that drew her close to her deathbed.

JAX: The morning sun was hot, scorching, and seeping its rays through my window. I looked at the woman next to me and realized how much of a mess I had made of her. Her waves looked tangled, her lips were swollen, and I replaced the hickeys on her skin where they had begun to fade. I subconsciously traced her eyebrows, moved to her lashes, then her lips. Her eyes fluttered open, staring blankly into mine like she was trying to take in her environment.

Then, she proceeded to her window's curtain to open them wider After doing so, she looked at the outside surrounding and beamed at the sudden brightness it gave her. The scenario is making her feel a little nostalgic, the warm gold rays of the sun towards the trees around, and the simple garden they have. She looked around for a moment while closing her eyes trying to hear the singing of the birds that kept her mood more enlightened because of the melody it brings her

ATHENA Tangerine gold glimmered through the glassy window, specks of yellow sunlight splashed with floating cotton balls handing in the ominous sky. The unforgiving sun at the head of the universe and far from the horizon made it clear that it was late noon. I fluttered opened my eyes and groaned as my body was squished under a heavy weight.

"What… what does that mean?" The Guardian gestured towards the sky, now clear and blue after the vortex's closure. "Look closely," it boomed. Liam and Xal'dar squinted upwards, searching the endless expanse. At first, they saw nothing, just the familiar blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds. Then, a flicker. A faint shimmer in the distance, a swirling mist that seemed to defy the clear sky. It grew larger, closer, revealing an unsettling sight - a duplicate sun, a miniature replica of the real one, but burning with an unnatural purple light.
