Jinx was curled up on the massive bed, looking small and fragile against the black silk sheets. I walked to the edge of the bed, watching the steady rise and fall of her shoulders. She was asleep, but even in sleep, she looked so beautiful, her brow slightly furrowed. I sat on the edge of the mattress, the weight of my body making her shift.
