My brows furrowed, but before I could ask what he meant, my gaze dropped—and my breath hitched.

There, inked into my skin, was a tattoo. A dagger piercing through a crown, its edges bold and unyielding, and just beneath it, a phrase I couldn’t even pronounce.
“How… how did this get here?” My voice broke, panic crawling up my throat.
“Onore e Vendetta,” Enzo quoted smoothly. “It’s an Italian phrase. It means ‘Honor and Vengeance.’” He tilted his head slightly. “And that is what we live by.”
