She walked till she was before me “and by the goddess, I will enjoy every moment I'd whoop your whorish ass,” she whispered for my ears alone. “Okay, stop this madness. Both of you,” Caden said, coming between us. “What, Beta Caden? Don’t pretend like you know me!” Jackson just shrugged with a smirk, as if saying he would back off the subject and leave it be. “Anyways, let’s go little sheep. We have so much to do!” Jackson states with excitement. Me and Shela looked at the man as if he was crazy. “Kane and Chaze have challenged us to a band battle! We have two days to get ready! Oh this will be a night to remember!” His excitement was perious. However, this caused a problem if Shela was going with them.

The place turns to silence. "I do Alpha Calvin; I want to challenge him for the Alpha title." Holy fuck! Ryder steps out from the crowd and starts walking towards John and everyone looks as shocked as me including Calvin, "Are you sure Ryder? An Alpha challenge is to the death and you've just found your mate!"

Him bragging in her face was strange news to her. “Have you always been this way?” she asked and shook his head swallowing his meal. “What way?” “Proud” “Oh little one, I am not proud, I am just perfect, that is the way it is” Cade replied with a smug expression on his face. “Oh really? I am a hundred percent sure and I can bet on a decent sum of money that you have a weakness” she replied. “I meet you on that bet but not on the money” “Not on money?” she asked confused.

With that said, Charlie looked at Caden and said with a smile, “Look! I have plenty of ways to accommodate you.” Caden felt stunned as if he had been struck by lightning after hearing this. He never dreamed that this kid in front of him would be so demanding! He was basically blocking all of his paths! Moreover, he was even threatening to involve the media. Caden was a famous persona in North America, after all, so wouldn’t his image and reputation be ruined if he were to embarrass himself in front of the media?!

Even with a blood face, he licked his lips as he looked me up and down. “Challenge?” Cade asked. His wolf was barely contained. Jo tried to walk to him, but Maddox firmly gripped her arm and shook his head no. She froze, unsure of what to do. “Yeah, if you click the pictures, it has become a game. Beth and Riley and the teenager whose name was Marcus watched from the doorway. “What now?” Jenny asked while inserting another IV. “Now we figure out how to stop Marcus Webb from killing Kade,” Sage said. “Because if Kade dies, everyone in this room dies next.” Riley spoke up from the doorway. “Marcus is calling for a challenge. I heard guards talking about it. Maybe three days.” “What is a challenge?” Jenny asked. “Fight to the death for Alpha position,” Sage said. “If Kade loses, Marcus takes the pack.”

When both girls were in the middle of the ring, I turned to face Jody and grimaced. “Jody, I will give you one last chance to rescind your challenge and accept that Lamia is your Luna,” I asked her hopefully, losing my usual cold tone to replace it with sympathy. She snarled “No gamma bitch is going to take my place.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her she had no place beside me and even if she somehow won she would never be my Luna or mate. “What are your terms for the challenge, Jody Crane?” I asked loudly so the crowd could hear.

“Then we prepare.” Lena frowned. “Prepare for what?” He stood, towering over her, the firelight gilding the sharp planes of his face. “For the challenge.” Her heart stumbled. “Challenge?” Kade’s eyes glowed, molten and dangerous. “Cassian won’t wait long before he calls for it. And when he does, I’ll meet him. Alpha to Alpha. Blood to blood.” The words struck like a blow. “You mean—you’ll fight him? To the death?”
