Chase Me Again

Chase Me Again

Justin answered without hesitation, "That's impossible. He was out of place in our family's previous dealings and those assassinations because he didn't like them. It's because I knew his character that I was comfortable leaving you in his care." After hanging up, I called Ned. I asked, "Ned, you've been training and protecting Justin in New York. Have you heard of Johnny? What do you think of him?" Ned thought for a moment and said, "I've heard from many people that he was generous in community charity events, bringing warmth and hope to those children in need." Ghost of a Broken Home

Ghost of a Broken Home

After that, she straightened Patrick’s clothes, preparing him to face the police. Jennifer stood by the window, watching the crowd gathering outside with intense focus. Then, she took Johnny to the playroom. Johnny looked up at her, confused, watching beads of sweat roll down her forehead. In a soft voice, he asked, "Mom, why are you sweating so much? Is it too hot? And… that girl, is she really just sleeping?" Jennifer’s entire body tensed as if struck by lightning. Her panicked expression twisted into something terrifying. She suddenly reached out, snatching Johnny’s toy gun from his hands and smashing it onto the floor.

The Rip

The Rip

Steph said, laughing. Water slapped the transom. A shadow rose. John’s hands gripped the ladder rungs, knuckles white. He hauled himself up, dripping, the wetsuit shining like skin. His mask hung at his throat. His eyes looked like glass marbles someone had swapped for the ones he was born with. Julie turned at the sound. “Hey, Johnny—” The name died half-breathed because something was wrong with the shape of his gaze. He crossed the deck. The movement was calm, functional. Efficient in a way that wasn’t human. He reached the spear-gun rack.

Oops, I've Been Exposed

Oops, I've Been Exposed

an old, angry voice sounded out. "Mr. Madden, you're finally here!" Johnny was like a kid who had lost in a fight and was asking for an adult to help him win. What a shameless man! He was already in his 60s! "An enemy has come knocking on our door declaring that he wants to obliterate the foundation that Neovito had built for centuries. "Kill him and avenge Preston, Kenny, and the rest!" Johnny was a thief who cried… thief. "This punk has done heinous things. He thinks that he's more capable than us and has disrespected us."

Claimed by My Brother’s Best Friend (A Mafia Romance)

His presence narrows the room; the air seems to lean toward him. “Why are you doing this?” Flora’s voice fractures like ice. Johnny’s lips twitch. “A little game,” he says, the words light as a coin. The coin drops straight into my gut. A whisper of movement and a drawer slides open somewhere behind him. A tray glides into the room with the quiet of a guillotine. Two guns lie on it, black and exact a pair of answers I don’t want. The metal catches the light and my breath stops, the absence loud enough to hurt.

Orange hair snarled coldly. Jate nearest squinted his eyes. "Playing with guns is a very dangerous act. I certainly hope you're ready for the consequences!" Orange hair was provoked upon hearing this words. He put his finger on the trigger and got ready to fire a few shots at Jate Woods. I’m done reading this book The last few chapters was a repeat chapter and that is so annoying. It’s not the first time or the last time I’m sure I’m over this book I really like it but not enough to just throw money away Good luck to the author but won’t be getting no more of my coins
