Say You’re Mine: Heron’s Landing Book 1

Say You’re Mine: Heron’s Landing Book 1

To occupy herself, she imagined terrible, ridiculous fates for him—getting eaten alive by raccoons, choking on a sandwich, getting the plague—before she calmed down enough to think a little more clearly. The wind whistled through the trees, and Joy watched as birds flitted about in the branches. She spotted a bright red cardinal in one of the shrubs. She smiled, watching it hop around. She soon spotted a female cardinal, more brown then red, and realized there was probably a nest in the shrub. She smiled a little sadly.

Doing me to the fullest

Doing me to the fullest

In his hands, he held a drawing—a messy, colorful depiction of a bird with bright orange wings. "Is that a Phoenix, Leo?" Jade asked, pulling him onto her lap. The weight of him, the real, solid warmth of her son, was better than any breakthrough she had ever made in a lab. "It’s a bird that doesn't get hurt," Leo explained with the simple wisdom of a five-year-old. "It flies into the sun and just stays there."

Jaybie glanced at his mother and then went to open the door. Inside the house, Lil Oriole was standing on the table and eating sunflower seeds. Every time it ate a seed, it would say, "Dear wifey!" Johnson Yates sat next to it, cracking seeds for it. "Uncle Johnson!" Jaybie called out and ran inside, pulling Lil Oriole into his arms. "Eat, eat, eat!" Lil Oriole flapped its wings, struggling as it cried out.

MY SISTER'S MATE

MY SISTER'S MATE

Jabari asked, making his voice sound super small and innocent. Ayomide thought the boy was finally letting his guard down. She walked over and knelt on the rug. "Of course, sweetie. Let me see what you have." Jabari pulled his hands out from behind his back. A small, bright white snow-snake was coiled around his wrist, showing its tiny sharp fangs. "This is my new pet, Moony," Jabari said with a big laugh. The snake fixed its yellow eyes right on Ayomide's face and hissed loudly, flicking its tongue out.

Scald Crow

Scald Crow

“Lesson one whelp, never lower your eyes on a hunt. Our prey is intelligent and capable of complex thoughts. This brings me to the next lesson: Never underestimate your prey.” “Have you made that mistake before?” “Aye, many times in my youth. My master was endlessly patient with my stupidity. With every hunt, I smartened up a little and learned more,” He paused and watched the Spade Hooded stopping and raised its hands to the moon again, “Why does it keep doing that?” A shriek split Warren's eardrums and the world went black.

What Separates Me and You

What Separates Me and You

While Josephine was lost in thought, Lewis had already retrieved the bird from the bushes. Again, he gutted and cleaned it right before her. When Josephine snapped back to reality, she saw that the bird's feathers had been plucked off. She could no longer recognize the bird. "What bird is this?" "It looks like a Harris' Hawk, but I'm not sure. It will do as long as it has meat," Lewis replied. He quickly cleaned the bird and skewered it on a branch to roast over the fire.

Rayna Pelkonen
This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.
Malu Jabian
hoping that the author would create a heart wrenching regrets for lewis and a happy ending for Josephine for finding a rich man who truly cares, loved and willing to protect her i hope this novel wont end up like the others where the female being tortured & gets back to their male partners

A Promise To Forever

A Promise To Forever

Stone. The conversations turned back into playful when Brandon changed the topic into a movie he watched with Luke. Apparently the poor boy was so fascinated by Rio that he begged his parents to get him a parrot too. When they finally got him a dog instead of a parrot after a lot of convincing, Jade said the little boy had tried to paint the poor animal blue. All of us laughed at Luke's red face as he pouted at his parents.

Alpha of Gods

Alpha of Gods

Luca said. “So, you were watching the entire time and didn’t jump in to help.” I placed my hands on my hips and stared at him. “Well, yeah. But I was ready to intervene if you turned purple. I was even ready to grab one of those dodo birds over there to beat his ass if I needed to.” I palmed my forehead, then turned to look at the strange birds that were waiting by the water for their next meal. Their beady eyes were weird with one eye looking to the left and the other looking to the right. They had long bills and stubby bodies with short legs.

Invisible String

Invisible String

After a while, the fire disappeared and what was left was the fire-shaped mark. "Mommy, did I hurt you? Im sorry.. I just have no choice. Its the only way for you to understand me." Again, I heard the shrill voice. Earlier I really looked for who spoke. This time, my eyes focused on the hatchling staring at me. I swallowed and blinked. "You're the one who's talking?!" I exclaimed. The bird jumped up and down as it spread its featherless wings. It looks so happy. "What do you mean its talking?" Jevro asked me.
