I looked at him to glare at him, but both my mind and face went blank when I saw how he looked at me. He had his serious face on, which he rarely wears and use on me. He was just standing in front of me, the sincerity was in his eyes. Minutes have passed and we were still staring at each other. To be honest, he was quite good-looking, and he also looked young but the weird smirk that he had on his face made him look like the joker. As I thought of his resemblance to the fictional character, I had the sudden urge to burst into a peal of laughter and I did. I laughed so hard that I felt tears rolling down my cheeks as I stupidly pointed at the man whose smirk had dissipated. In place of the smirk, he now had an annoyed expression glued to his face. I came down from my crazy laughing bout as I cleaned my tears with my thumb, and directed a gaze at the man. "Care to enlighten me about the cause of your amusement?" He asked, his vexed countenance dissipating.

His jaw clicked. "Nothing's funny, Angel." I smiled sweetly reached for his jaw. I felt the pressure loosened. I could feel his weakness in the touch I had made on him. "Why are you always this serious huh?" I asked mockingly. He held my hand that’s holding him. The zoo inside me once again celebrated. "When it comes to you, jokes have no place." a streak of integrity echoed in his tone. I cocked my head and still pouted. I was about to lower my hand but he tightened his grip there so I could keep holding his jaw.

“Jay. Don’t you dare laugh. I’m being serious.” “I know, I know,” I wheezed, still holding back a grin. “It’s just you have no idea how funny you look right now, like your brain’s trying to reboot itself.” But under the humor, my chest hurt. Because I didn’t have an answer. Not a real one. Not one that would make sense to him or to me.
