The bass guitarist stepped forward with his hand extended. “Shawn Simmons. That was priceless,” he said, flipping his reddish brown hair out of his eyes. It was long in the front, but collar length in the back and sides, and wavy. “Nice to meet you,” I replied, laughing as I shook his hand. Somehow, I already felt at home with this group of guys. In fact, it was almost as if we had known each other for a while and not that we’d just met.

“Oh, Designer Jeans! President… Simon is taking a shower. Why don't you call back later?” “Shower? He... Isn't he working overtime?”

"Thank you," I said. She looked adorable with her growing baby bump, which seemed to be expanding rapidly. Mira: I sat by the window, staring out at the moonlit trees that stretched toward the mountains. My reflection stared back at me, the curve of my bare shoulder, the darkness in my own eyes. Elijah was sitting beside me with a cigarette between his fingers, watching me in silence. “I believe that you are rarely ever here to pout. And that is all you’ve been doing since you got here.” He said casually. “He’s slipping away from me,” I said quietly. “He doesn’t even look at me anymore. Not once. Not since her. Gio smiled even bigger. Noah had told Gio about Roni getting off the pill and that he might be a dad soon. This was no surprise. As much as Noah, who was an orphan, had always put up a front about not caring that he had no family and that his friends were his family, Gio knew having a family of his own was huge for him. Noah had been almost giddy when he told Gio about it. As young as Noah was, Gio had no doubt he was mature enough and could more than handle fatherhood.
