I needed to buy myself a lot of time or else, I was going to be doomed if he discovers. Bang! I collided with a figure just as I was running, making me fall to the floor. Immediately, a sense of premonition arose in my heart as I stood up and looked at the figure. Frowning, I saw that the figure was a man in his late sixties. But from the looks of it, he didn't seem to be a member of the pack and it made me wonder if he was a spy. But then I could care less about that at the moment, I needed to leave as soon as I could. I didn't know if Alpha Kyle had noticed that I was missing or not.

Time passed quickly when you were occupied. “You’re ridiculous! How can you say Superman is better than Batman?! I give up on you.” – Jordan. 10:35pm. “I don’t really? I don’t think I could if I tried, not anymore, but you’re wrong. Just saying.” – Jordan. 11:15pm. He smiled honestly before sending a text back and calling it a night. “The feeling’s mutual.” Derrick didn’t confirm what feeling he was mutual about to Jordan’ frustration when he text him twice demanding to know which one.

Alana gulps before uttering the words that shock each one of them to the core. “His real name is Austin Jones of the Black Onyx Pack.”

He said, raising an eyebrow at me. “She can't blow a punch for her own good, she's not going to be able to save herself if something happens to her, and it was nothing but me training her to know how to sustain herself. As you might know, she is my Luna by name. But that's it. It's just going to be something by name.” I said, and he sighed.

Just closeness. Jordan stood abruptly, lifting his glass with exaggerated seriousness. “Oh no,” I whispered under my breath. Keal groaned softly beside me. “Brace yourself.” Jordan cleared his throat dramatically. “As Keal’s long-suffering friend and witness to his many… let’s call them ‘leadership moods,’ I feel uniquely qualified to speak tonight.” Laughter rippled through the hall. I bit my lip to keep from laughing too loudly. Jordan pointed toward Keal. “This man; our fearless Alpha, has faced down rival packs, negotiated impossible alliances, and once stared down a bear twice his size without blinking.”

Jordan held a very high position in the Gomery family, and whoever he wanted to leave, had to leave. Owen lived under the halo of being an heir, so it's not surprising that he developed a meek personality. Jordan was like a sharp knife, with such a sharp edge that even through thick glass, he could still inflict piercing wounds. She touched the cup and said in a calm tone, "Keon, do you think Jordan knew about the existence of this illegitimate child?" Keon had been by Dave's side for many years and had heard some rumors, but he was tight-lipped and never caused any trouble for Dave.
