The Things We Don't Say
Nothing is wrong.
“Coming?” Jordan yelled from the pool.
“Yeah.”
I got out of my pants finally and walked back to the pool, wrapping my hands around my frame. Jordan had swum to the other edge, leaning on the wall, his eyes on me.
I dipped my legs into the water through the small steps, feeling his gaze on me. This time, the water didn’t feel so good, and I began to move around slowly, swimming laps. Jordan started swimming as well.
We didn't say anything to each other, just enjoying the silence, the water, and the starless skies. By some miracle - because trust me, there was no way I did that on purpose, really – I found myself by Jordan's side.
