Turning to Janet, she said, "Janet, please go to my study and bring five thousand dollars in cash."

"Joy!" Hector hugged Joy tightly as he burst out in tears. After Joy went abroad, he had been worried and sent her money on time every month. It was not until Joy's account was found untouched that he learned she had secretly joined the medical aid program in a war zone. Every day, he wondered whether Joy was doing well and if she had encountered any danger in the war zone. Later, he learned that Leon had taken Joy back to Jameson City. The villa was heavily guarded. After several failed attempts to break through, he had no choice but to set fire to the place.

Yaya said, "I'm also very lucky to know you. But let's not talk about the past. Tell me why are you here?" Karen Joy said sullenly, "Compared to you guys, I'm much more selfish." Yaya asked, "How can you say that?" "I came to the disaster area just because I want to do something for the person I like." Karen Joy thought of her Brother Lionel. Surprisingly, she didn't feel as much pain as she did earlier that day. Instead, she felt warm in her heart. Yaya asked curiously, "Do something for the person you like? Is he also from Long Cove?"

This time Isek lost all ten million. Joyce did not have the heart to beat this beloved son to death, but only scolded him once. Isek should not be close. He thinks that man named Liam William has a lot of money, it's okay to give them a little more. As long as Joyce goes to find him again, as much as she wants, then for the rest of her life, mother and daughter don't need to worry anymore. So Joyce went to Y City.

It was past noon and very soon it would be evening. What was Haley up to? Did Joye manage to convince her? Whether Joye was successful or not, Liam had to visit her even if it meant a war with the Woods Family members. “Sir, you're still here?” Joye barged inside. “Didn't you hear what's going on? Have you seen the news?” Liam frowned. What news? And why did Joye look as if he was being chased by fire? Fanning himself with both hands, the assistant came forward. “It's the jewelry company you collaborated with. Sir, we've encountered a great loss.”

Kyler’s POV “Ummm Kyler. Did you forget to tell us that you had a frigging festival in your pack land or some important person’s birthday or something,” Joy asked as we peered out of the car’s windows to see the entire pack land decorated with fairy lights, red carpets, flowers and ribbons and loads of guests everywhere. “Not that I know of,” I replied back, equally astonished. This was not what we had left the pack land as before. What had suddenly happened then ?

It was the last paragraph, though, that sent his mind into a tailspin: I never expected to fall for a vineyard, Joy wrote, and certainly not for the tiny town attached to it. Now that I’ve returned to Chicago, I’ve realized something: those months in Heron’s Landing were the happiest of my entire life. Thanks in part to the peace found in a place like Heron’s Landing, and in the happiness I experienced with the owner of River’s Bend. Let’s not be coy, shall we? I fell in love with the vineyard’s owner as much as I fell in love with the vineyard and town itself. I hope—if I can hope for anything—that he knows that.
