HIS HOOR

HIS HOOR

Next day, Hoor went to the university. After her 3rd class, she went to the restroom where she heard some girls talking. She recognized the voice of the weirdest girl (Maryam) of the class according to Hoor. She was known for her extra bold personality. Hoor had seen some of it also as Maryam loved to touch and laugh with guys. "Have you seen Professor Randhawa's body? It looks like he should be on a magazine cover." Maryam said.

I looked around the room and locked eyes with Ariel, Her eyes were on fire with anger, I'm sure if looks could kill I could be under the ground by now. Ali seemed oblivious of her words and he looked at Maryam as if she were a madwoman. "What?" He asked dumbfounded, leaving her arm. An uproarious laughter escaped both of our lips by looking at Ali and his extremely perplexed and mortified face. "I meant to say-" Maryam began to explain between her chuckles, "Arya is pregnant. Not you Ali." "Oh..." Ali said with extreme shyness. Even his ears had turned red and Maryam was scarlet in her face because of her uncontrollable laughing. "Congratulations Bhabhi!" Said Ali.

My Unrequited Love

My Unrequited Love

THIRD PERSON'S POV "Are you sure about it ?" Aamina asked, passing her the flower jwellery for the small mayoon function they held for her in the backyard of their house even when she and Murat insisted to have a simple nikaah, nothing else. "Sure about what Appi ?" "Marrying Murat." Aamina's reply drained the glow she had on her face, replacing it with a deep frown. "Why are you asking that ?"

Scarred For Life

Scarred For Life

She would wait him out. Yusuf was sitting at the table when she stepped into the dining room, a steaming cup of coffee beside him. The food was untouched otherwise, as his eyes were buried in his phone. Across the table, a young woman sat timidly, trying her best to seem small. Maryam stared at her curiously. She appeared to be older than Nafisa, and probably Adnan as well. Her jet-black hair was tied in a short ponytail, and she wore a simple plain white blouse with a pair of faded denim jeans. She was barefoot, while her sandals were kept at the entrance to the dining room. Right next to the pair of identical suitcases. "You're back," Maryam said as she returned her gaze to him.

Her Silent Tears

Her Silent Tears

I asked. "Well it's your brother Ayaan who invited us.” Maryam blushed. "Oh really so why does that make you blush.” I commented. "What me nooo" she replied covering her cheeks. "Whatever you say my love.” I joked in response while she glared at me . Well to begin I have five crazy crappy friends, in that shabeeha is married to Nidhal and has a beautiful daughter Noora, the other is hasna who is also married to Abdullah and has twins Aarif and Aariz, Nuska is currently engaged to Zaid and for the others they are single and as you know my friend Maryam has a crush on my brother Ayaan.

My Fake Sister Took Everything: Now It’s My Turn

again. Shaking off the chill that crawled up my spine, I walked inside, surprised to find Maryam wide awake, glued to her phone, playing Candy Crush of all things. “What a shock,” I said, kicking off my heels. “You’re not asleep yet? Didn’t think Candy Crush was that exciting.” Maryam, the world’s most committed early sleeper, gave me a serious look—so serious it made my stomach flip. “I had a bad dream,” she said, staring straight at my head like there was something growing out of it.

AALIYAH
Still claiming a man that allowed himself to be stolen by your sister? Girl, you can do better. Don't love someone to the extent that you begin to overlook the red flags. Just walk away and become a better version of yourself. Don't let their acts weigh you down.
JasmahO
A cheap imitation of what he wanted ? can't believe he dropped that statement and still forced to lose her baby cause of lack of trust. I can't wait for her to stand on her feet and get her revenge. I can't wait, to continue with the chapters.

MAY

MAY

"What? Aunty... Is it a bad thing for me to praise you?" Aunty Caroline smiled, shaking her head. "No. I'm just curious. Thank you, sha." "Welcome." Maryam came in through the gate, holding a black nylon bag with the pack of mini-mini indomie noodles inside. "Mommy, I bought the indomie." She announced. May turned to her. "Oh, yes!" She had totally forgotten about the errand she sent Maryam on. "Please take it inside. Drop it on top of the kitchen counter and go straight to your room."

The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful
Sinikiem precious
Nice book. I love how it treats domestic issues prevalent in a lot of Nigerian homes. I also love how the book doesn't glamorize abuse like other pics I've read in this genre. Seeing as the author is a girl from Bayelsa, it gives me joy that she adds elements of her background in the story.
