"The wait was worth it, huh?" She stood in a short, orange-striped maxi stretchy dress. It had seams along her bust, waist, and hips, hugging her figure but also draping around her softly. It stopped a few inches above her knees. Her legs were encased in small baby flats. There was the notion that her legs would swell later on but Kaitlyn would worry about crossing that bridge when she got there. At that moment, her mission was to firmly ground herself in Seth's life. At least before he woke up and had the power to stop her from doing so.

The previous evening had gone better than she had hoped, and the genuine warmth from Estefan’s family had reduced much of Kaitlyn's anxiety.
