It is time to make him mine. ***** HUNTER’s POV I twist my body to take a better look at my back. It is gruesome, marred by scars from yesteryears’ battles and most recently from the fire in the warehouse and the wound courtesy of Kai. We werewolves heal fast but the scars will always remain to remind us of all that we had lost. I clench my jaw as I slip into a plain shirt, trying to ignore the phantom pains that gnaw at my back.

“I'm sorry for not protecting you then,I'm sorry but no one would hurt you again,I swear on my word,and those who hurt you I'll find them and end them” He promised his gaze holding hers seriously. “And your scars they give you a sexy do not mess with me look” He added , tracing a thumb over her chin, tracing the scar. He placed a kiss on her forehead,then her nose, cheeks, before slowly kissing the scar. “What are you doing” She asked breathlessly. “Kissing your scars ,I'm gonna kiss them till they fade from your memories” He kissed the scar on her eyebrow,her breath hitched as his hands moved over her breasts rubbing it slowly through the light night wear.

But I didn’t look away. Kai’s back was a canvas of pain. Against strong muscles was long, jagged scars that criss crossed against tanned skin. Brutal reminders of a battle he had faced with no one knowing. Some were pale, and seemed old but a few of them looked newer, red with anger. They weren’t scratches, they looked like lashes? Wounds meant to punish. And for a moment, everything I hated about him seemed to blur a bit. Who had done this to him?

Her mouth parted. “You know about Kaia?” she gasped, no doubt the two of them now gossiping about me. “We’re old friends, her and I. I shot her in the forest. That’s how you got that scar on your shoulder. The through and through. But all the others… that was not my handiwork,” I gave a flat smile as her eyes widened. She looked towards her left as her fingers slid over the embossed flesh, her mind mulling over this new tidbit of information.

My voice was quieter now, edged with exhaustion that went deeper than just my body. Mikali’s lips pressed into a thin line. “No,” he admitted. “Whatever the hell was on that bastard’s claws was blocking my healing ability. I can stabilize you and keep the pain manageable, but I couldn’t close the wounds completely.” He hesitated, and I saw the frustration flicker across his face before finally saying, “They’re going to scar.” A permanent mark. A reminder. A piece of evidence carved into my skin, undeniable proof that someone had tried to kill me—and had come too damn close. I let my hand drop away, my gaze flicking toward the ceiling as my mind dragged me back into the fight.

This man almost doubled his muscle mass. His dark brown hair had subtle streaks of red throughout. His eyes were green with hints of gold. They were the most amazing things I had ever seen. Looking at him made my heart pound. His eyes were focused on mine as he held my gaze. The scar on the left side of his neck was faded, the sight of it enraged me. I didn’t know why I was so upset about him being hurt. I felt myself begin to get lost in his eyes when my mind snapped me out of it.

Tears stained his cheeks. “Yes, it’s me. Please, I know you hated my people but know that I have nothing to do with them. They tried to kill me too. I tried to save Asher and Zara but they dragged me away. They tortured me.” He held out his arm that has an ugly burned scar around it. Eve’s gazed soften.

I reached for it with trembling hands; it was so bad that Keres had to help me hold it. "It's alright, my sweet, take your time," Keres consoled sweetly. I smiled at his kindness, then proceeded to look into the mirror. I gasped at the horrific sight. Three large scars dominated my face: one going from my eye towards my nose, one on my upper lip, and a big one from my cheekbone to my jaw. The scar on my lips was perfectly in the middle, as though a knife had cut me; it must have been when her ring’s claw hooked into my skin... I stopped my thoughts, not wanting to visualise Amer's ruthless strikes to my face. I was so overwhelmed, that I did not realise the water flowing down my cheek. Only

But I said, "Okay." Kieran relaxed, then swept me up in his arms. My eyes caught sight of fresh scratches covering his chest—angry red marks like claw marks. He quickly pulled his shirt closed. "I fell earlier. Pretty ugly, right? Don't want to scare my Aria." I smiled sweetly. "Make sure Dr. Scarlett cleans and disinfects those properly. You don't want scars." The mention of Scarlett made something flicker in Kieran's eyes. I could practically see him remembering her claws raking down his skin, how she'd writhed beneath him like a wild cat.

she said, glancing at me, “if you could heal someone that is close to death… maybe you can fix scars too.” The room quieted just a little. I followed her gaze and realized what she was talking about. My scar. The old burn mark that curved down from the corner of my jaw to my neck—a part of my past I had tried to hide but couldn’t erase. I instinctively reached up, fingers brushing the edge of it. I hated that thing. I hated what it reminded me of. Rachael tilted her head. “I’m just saying… wouldn’t it be kind of amazing if you could heal yourself too?”
