She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Ace got his blue eyes from his mom and black hair from his dad; he was the perfect combination of the two. Seconds later, my parents came in carrying plates and drinks. After placing them on the table they took their seats next to each other beside Mr Romano. I was sitting at the end of the table, Mason was in between me and Ace who had his legs crossed on the other chair and his head resting against Mason's arm with his phone in his hands. I looked at him and he looked disheveled, his clothes were torn, he had a bleeding lip and a black eye and my stomach dropped straight away. “Where’s Morgan?” I asked. “She’s gone. She stole my car and took off.” Ace said. “What do you mean she took off? She couldn’t have gone that far.” I said. “I’ve searched the pack and asked all the patrols on guard right now. One of them saw my car leaving the territory a few hours ago. They thought it was me so they didn’t stop me.” Ace explained. “She’s left the pack.” I said. I then suddenly started getting this stabbing, burning pain through my chest, like my heart was breaking in two.

Ace’s body looks as beautiful as ever, though black veins spider out from the black wound of the Shadow Blade. “I need something…I need blood…Oh Goddess, I need blood,” Ace gasps and grips his throat and his mouth shows fangs protruding. Ace’s all black eyes stare at me, unreadable as they no longer have and white of pupil…just black.

"How dare you parade your conquests like this?" Ace's gaze falters. Guilt flashes across his face before he looks away. I take a menacing step closer, my eyes blazing. "How could you be so ruthless? “She’s been stabbed. They’re rushing her to the hospital.” The words hung in the air, heavy and cold. Lisa’s heart skipped a beat, her mind racing with questions. “Is she… Is she going to be okay?” Ace shrugged, his tone indifferent. “I don’t know. They didn’t give any details.” Lisa studied his face, trying to gauge his emotions, but there was nothing there. No worry, no concern, just a blank, detached expression. It wasn’t the reaction she had expected, but then again, Ace’s relationship with Evelyn had always been complicated.

I should have known better, though, and nothing ever seems to want to uproot those feelings for him that I desperately wished would disappear.
