The clash of blades rang off the rocks. On his knees, Kael made another broken sound. The black in his eyes fractured for the briefest instant. Amber tried to force its way through and was slammed back down. The failsafe was not giving up the ground it had taken. The vehicle engine grew louder. Varen pressed the attack again, trying to drive me away from Kael and toward the open slope where his size and reach would matter more. I gave ground only as far as I had to, keeping the blade between us and refusing to be separated from the man still fighting the programming a few meters away.

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

I’ll be back soon.” He started to jog off when Damien’s voice stopped him. “Karim, go with him.”

Karin combats Raya with her double edged blade enchanted with spells. Karin aggresively yet swiftly swings her blade at Raya but Raya dodges- or at least that's what it seems. Despite reacting on time, Karin's blade still cuts Raya's dominant arm and quite deeply. Raya chuckles, "I see you inherited that ancient treasure. It's said to increase the damage inflicted and a single slice is enough to be a critical hit- even without getting hit. Such a treasure is wasted on you."

Fighting throngs of them in human form is Thor's specialty. Before I abandon the car, I open the glove compartment and bring out the serrated edge karambit knife I took from Uncle Knox's workshop. The karambit is a perfect knife for silent killing. It can slice deep into flesh with ease and the curved and serrated edges on the silver blade make it a deadly and dangerous weapon that can hook and snag at sensitive organs like the intestine, making the person suffer a slow and painful death.

I ended the call and kept on walking till I was right in front of my preferred vehicle. It took only a couple of minutes before large, black SUVs began to move rapidly across the estate’s grounds. All my men were disciplined and efficient and even though it was on short notice, they were all ready for war. Blade stepped out of the lead car, and I could tell by the sweat clinging tightly to his shirt that he had just walked out of the training grounds.
