The door opened and Kacela stood in the doorway, framed, looking like a vision. I had ordered a very simple dress with an A line, form fitting until her hips and then gently flaring away. It was a slip dress with a cowl neck, satin, in a beautiful ivory color that I knew would flatter her tanned skin. Her black hair was piled on top of her head, tendrils escaping. Someone had put a little bit of a wave into them, and they framed her delicate face. She was holding a single red rose, the dash of color gorgeous against the muted tone of her dress. I realized I had been holding my breath.
