Arthur Cross melted from the shadows near a dead crane, his face hard. “The river is watched,” he warned, pressing small communication devices into their hands. “Thorne’s mechanical birds are everywhere. But the old man is telling the truth. The Calliope is the attic. The very first sins are stored there.” The SS Calliope was a ghost. A huge, rusted beast of a ship, moored in a forgotten backwater of the river, rain weeping down its sides. It looked less like a ship and more like a tomb waiting to be buried.

Candice had her eyes closed to rest and didn't notice Rex’s strange reaction. As the sun began to set, the group saw a giant, luxury cruise ship below. At first glance, it looked like a typical sightseeing vessel, but even in the off-season, those usually have at least a few people on deck. This one was deserted; not a single shadow could be seen on the deck. It was practically a ghost ship. It wasn't until the helicopter began its descent that people appeared on the deck. The party of seven arrived safely... though every minute that followed was bound to be dangerously insecure, filled with hidden traps and psychological thrills.

He briskly walked around, taking deep breaths to catch her scent. Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream pierced through the air, causing him to stop in his tracks. "Help!" the voice cried out. Pascal's heart raced as he tried to locate the source of the distress call.

I was going to walk out quietly, i don't even need ice cream anymore. "His name is ghost no body knows his real name" he continued and now i need to listen, I'm too curious to just leave now. You will die a traitor’s death.” I throw my head and shriek loudly into the sky as the winds pick up and swirl around the ship and I smile as it groans under the weight of the wind. Metal twists and comes alive. The darkness seeps from my fingertips and swirls around me.

"Xander! Xander, breathe!" I looked at the monitor. The heartbeat signal was still there, but it had slowed. It was no longer a ticking clock. It was a beacon. But as the ghost fleet began to move into the protective shadow of the Auditor, a new signal appeared on the long-range radar. Not one craft. Not the GRC. A single, antique wooden ship was sailing on the surface directly above the trench. It shouldn't have been there. It shouldn't have survived the storm. And on its mast was a flag that made my mother gasp and drop the ledger.
