Nodding he gives our reply to Kate and Colby who both nod in understanding. “Maddie,” Kate says stopping me from heading to our SUV, “we are heading to the Black Shadow Pack for Lily’s Luna ceremony, but if you need me just call. You have my number,” she offers. I appreciate the gesture and make an unusual move for me. I move first to hug Kate goodbye. We hold onto one another for a minute before letting each other go.
