Emma’s POV I was following the whole interrogation from outside the room. Kayla is doing a good work. I checked my watch it was 11:40am. I wanted to call Kate but I decided not to. I will call her after the interrogation is over. So I relaxed and followed the interrogation process. Kayla’s POV “What did he have you do?” I asked. “All sort of illegal stuff and murder. He ordered the assassination of Mary, attempted assassination of Kate and the murder of Albert.”

I said quietly. “I did do a good job at that but you could be wearing a garbage bag and still be the most intriguing woman at this ceremony, little trouble maker.” Kai said in a low sexy growl. What was happening and why was Kai bringing out this type of reaction from me. “You may want to answer that, it seems someone is really trying to get a hold of you.” I hadn’t even noticed my phone ringing until then. I looked down at my phone. I had missed several calls and texts from Kassius. Shit he must be looking for me. I noticed a voicemail pop up and quickly pressed play.

A small frown appeared on her face. "I told you not to call my phone when I'm at work, mother. Why don't you listen?" She reprimanded her mother. "Is this Caitlyn Hugh?" A male voice asked. She checked the caller ID and it was indeed her mother. "Who are you and why are you with my mother's phone?" She asked. "Your mother was involved in a terrible accident, ma'am," He broke the news. Caitlyn's jaw dropped open while a pool of tears instantly began to form in her eyes.

"It was awesome. I called to tell you that I might not be around to celebrate Christmas with you, baby. I'm sorry." "Why? Are you going somewhere?" "Yes. I'm traveling to Texas with Kent." Anita answered. "Oh! You're finally going to make that guy yours, isn't it Anita?" Kimberly shook her head. She made her way out of the room to the kitchen. "Of course! I'm now a repented human now. Bye, I have to go, okay? I need to go back him. He's all mine." Kimberly could hear the voice of a man in the background. She smiled and said, "Make sure you handle him well tonight!"

Allen asked. My heart fell. I didn't want to think about this again. Tate sensed my discomfort and placed a kiss on my hand tenderly. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes and become the stone cold woman I was when Tate picked me up from Greenwood. There's no time for me to be emotional. "Kai is my uncle." Kaylee continued to cry, sitting on the floor like a pitiful child. Even Jodie couldn’t resist looking at her despite not being able to understand her. “Please get me away from that hole and far away from Owen, Hay.” Kaylee’s loud wails didn’t stop even as she confessed to one of the many crimes she had committed, “I know I was wrong for striking a deal with him and asking him to give you a hard time when you were handed over to him months ago. I didn’t know he was evil, Haylee. Please help me.”

She couldn't hear what was being said, but she heard the sound of someone else coming into the house. After a few moments, her uncle came back into the kitchen, followed by his wife. "Chantelle," Rosemary her uncle's wife called out. "Yes ma" She answered."
