Kill The Beast: Book Novels & Stories

The beast lunged at Lyra with its smoky arms raised high. She threw up another wall of crownfire but it was too late. The creature smashed through and knocked her to the ground. Pain shot through her side. She tasted blood in her mouth. Rowan roared and drove his sword deep into the beast’s back. Kael and Vera attacked from the sides. Their blades cut through smoke again and again. Lyra pushed herself up and sent one final blast of white fire straight into the creature’s chest. The crownfire burned hotter than before. The beast screamed and exploded into black mist that scattered in the wind.

“I officially hate him.” I looked down at the book in my hands, my fingers tracing the worn leather cover as I stared at the silver wolf carved into the center. Beneath it were three faded golden words that seemed almost too fitting for the place I was in. Blood. Beasts. Bonds. I swallowed and carried the book over to the nearest table, where Rigina dropped into a chair with a tired groan before pulling the book toward her. “Let’s get this over with before that idiot comes back and finds another reason to insult you.”

Kael’s hands tightened gently around Rhea’s as he made her sit on the edge of her bed. The room still smelled like dust, broken wood, and the cold scent of fear left behind by Hunters—but Kael’s presence cut through all of it. Solid. Grounding. Alpha. He knelt in front of her, his thumb brushing her wrist as he began explaining. “We found the Book of the Damned,” Kael said quietly. His voice held exhaustion, controlled fury, and a tired hope layered beneath. “Inside it… there’s a way. A real way to kill Khaenat.”

“Then let’s finish this.” The beast roared, the Rift splitting open beneath them once more. And as Killian leapt forward, claws blazing, the world tore apart — light and dark colliding in a storm that threatened to consume everything.

"And cleaner too." "How did Ms. Beast do with the double attack?" He pulls me closer and stares into my eyes, searching for my Warrior side. I slowly blink and allow King a peek. "She still insists I kill you, though this time she wanted Beck's blood too." He laughs because he argues with his beast side all the time and truly understands the duality of what I'm going through. Beast is our animal side and when stressed, our beasts think the solution to fighting is death to our opponent. My beast complicates things when the death she wants is my mate's. I don't actually think Ms. Beast would kill him, but she does love the chase regardless of whose side she's on.

"The Archivist's a parasite. The Librarians too. They feed on stories, but the Silence... it feeds on *them*." A roar shakes the labyrinth. The bookshelves collapse, revealing a creature-a Librarian grown bloated, its stitches bursting, ink-blood flooding the floor. The Hunter grins. "Time to rewrite the rules." --- **The Kill** The creature lunges, pages spewing from its mouth like bile. I fire. The storm-bullet tears through it, scattering text that combusts midair. The Hunter leaps, his blade severing its ink heart. It collapses, dissolving into a puddle of black sludge. The remaining Librarians scatter, hissing.

I fell to my knee in tears as I plead to Kyle, I can't believe she wants me to kill Kayla for real. The charming fog rushed into my body, changing my whole system. I shifted rapidly into a demon beast and once again, my heart became dark, "Kill Kayla! " I heard the voice speak inside of me. "Yes, my Lord!" I replied and sprang up, turning to the lady on the bed who was already dragging herself away in horror. All I could think of was killing her, and that made me lick my lips as I wondered how her heart would taste.

That's why I let my gaze wander in all directions while running down the path, for proles were masters at suddenly jumping out to secure their prey. We came to the fork that led to the Toboggan Hill and ran to the left to the slope when I saw something purple flashing in the undergrowth. "Right!" I shouted, Reese was already spun around. The bang reverberated in my ears, as did the thump the oryx made when it hit the ground. Reese had hit him in the neck and yet this beast got up again and ran with thundering hooves towards my teaching coach. He didn't hesitate for a moment, pulled the trigger again and this time it hit exactly between the eyes. Not even the most resilient descendant survive
