He pulled out a gun holster, securing it to his waist before placing his gun inside. "But—" "Shh." He pressed a finger to his lips and moved toward me, picking up the hoodie from the sofa. "You won't like what I’ll do to him. If you want to know when he talks, I’ll record it for you," he said, dusting off the hoodie before holding it open.

Heat rushed to my face, followed by a wave of ice that settled deep in my stomach. “No.. Not him… He can't be here, not after what had happened in the past.” I tried to convince myself.
