I swallowed a grimace “All this time, I wondered who it was that attacked us that night. Why did they kill us, we never hurt anyone, who are they? what did they want? Are they still active? It never crossed my mind that they might still be after us, hunting us as we hunt them.”
I always thought the killing was mindless, no one with a soul would carry out such violence towards the innocent.
“Kent,” I swallowed hard, and my sight becomes glassy, I blink and a tear rolls down my cheek. “He said the killings got more brutal the further they got, as though they got angrier? Frustrated. And I thought why would that be?” an invincible fist wraps around my throat and I struggle to breathe.
