King 2 Hearts Novels & Stories

But they all were pricing it too low. "Six big chests full of pure gold coins. 2 chests of pure pearls, freshly brought out of the oceans. That is what I am about to pay for that box." A man stood up and yelled on the top of his lungs. The wild crowd was suddenly silent. I did not look up as I had already recognized the voice. It was Raymond who dared to show his face to me again. After everything he had done to me and my parents. He was still desperate to get the mighty heart. Even after knowing that it would never bless anyone else but me. I was the blessed king. I was born with that power.

Spade answered and looked at Rai. Rai didn’t speak since he recalled what Spade told Heart that time in the infirmary. From Spade’s words, Rai could deduce that it was him who Heart once fell in love with. And Heart hurt him because of the King and Queen taking her heart – that is, her emotions, from her to use her after they chose her. It was because her emotions weaken Heart. “What? Her, in the same boat as you?!” Shane’s eyes widened in both shock and disbelief. After all, it was Heart who received Spade’s power and position after Spade was punished.

But I remained resolute, my grip tightening around the remnants of his once-mighty reign. Without a second thought, I plunged my hand into his chest, feeling the resistance of bone and sinew as I reached for his heart. With a single, powerful pull, I ripped it from his chest, crimson blood cascading over my hand and staining the floor beneath us. King Edward’s cries for mercy were abruptly silenced, his body slumping to the ground, lifeless and devoid of power.

his demon- Ryn, growled at Ryl, shutting him up. "Shut up, all of you! You are giving me a headache." the King scowled at his beasts while Ryn rolled its eyes as Ryk and Ryl whimpered. The King felt his unconscious mate jerk, holding him tightly while thrashing and murmuring some words, "don't leave me." "I will not even dream of it καρδιά μου," he kissed her hands that were holding him. (My heartbeat) As he stroked her hair, he felt her breathing change to routine. She sighed in contentment while she snuggled close to him.

It was coming from the heart itself, its malicious energy radiating in waves. “Why don’t you disappear already?” Damon hissed. The heart’s voice chuckled darkly. “How many times must I explain this? I will leave the day my master reclaims me.” “Who’s your master?” I asked, stepping forward. “The new king of the dark,” it whispered, its voice dripping with malice. “That’s impossible,” I growled. “The last king—Ravengrim—was banished to the abandoned vortex. He’s as good as dead.”

She muses as she flips the middle card. The card depicts a king holding a traditional scepter and orb. He is seated on a throne made of stone and appears rigid and stern. His crown large and golden. “Our dear Prince is traditional and rigid. He is disciplined. Perhaps even driven by ego. Both indicate stability and prosperity.” She says calmly. She flips the final card.

His eyes snapped up to green eyes, anger flashing through his eyes. “You pulled my tooth.” He snipped. She shrugged, infuriating him the more. “A necessity.” Her eyes trailed down his body. “I honestly felt sad I didn't have to pull other parts of you, just your tooth,” King of hearts moved, fast and with intention, or so he thought, not hearing the door open. Stephan moved fast, to stand between an angry king of hearts and a smirking green eyes who still sat still. “Get it together,” his palm clamped down on his shoulder, pressing down and disarming him.

Heather hesitates, shocked by my order, but reluctantly steps aside. The girls face bursts with happiness as comes to stand in front of me. “Your Majesty, I-I know what the test is about!” she declares. “Go on,” I tell encouragingly. “It’s… about, um, black hearts and wisdom. But not actual hearts! Like, it’s not the thing you find, it’s, um… something inside us. The heart is not really a heart—it’s… someone’s…or my heart!” I stare at her, trying to make sense of her ramble. The nobles nearby smother their laughter.

“Then why didn't he take control of me?” The King smiled. “Because your heart resisted him.” I remembered every time the darkness had tried to consume me. Every time the black mark had appeared. Every time I had nearly lost myself. It wasn't weakness. It had been a battle. Inside me. Between two hearts. One silver. One black. I looked at the King. “How do I remove him?” “You don't.” The answer terrified me. “You wake the King.” I frowned. “What does that mean?” “You must choose which heart rules.”
