My mind raced, trying to come up with a plan to outsmart and defeat Chris Harris once and for all. Chris smirked, clearly enjoying his position of power. “First, I want you to hand over your Luna to me. I want Aarya by my side, where she belongs.” A flash of lust passed through his eyes, making me shiver. Xander growled loudly and threw everything from his desk, walking towards the screen. I ran behind him and pulled him into a hug. I buried his head in my neck, trying to calm him down. My eyes widened in disbelief, anger bubbling up within me. “Over my dead body, he ever gets my mate!” Xander spat, his voice filled with venom.

Caroline asked, staring between all of us. I managed a nod. “The only way to stop him is to destroy the heart,” I said. “And the heart is…?” Liz started to ask. “My mother,” I answered. “Right,” Liz breathed. “So, you have to kill your mother?” “We have to stab her in the heart with the scepter,” Sebastian answered. “Once the heart is destroyed, Xander will be powerless.” “The heart is the main power source?” Liz asked, raising her brows. “So, once the heart is destroyed, Xander will have no power. That includes his vessels?”

As soon as he grips the snout, he yanks it to the right, hearing the sickening crack as he breaks its neck. He rolls left, extending his claws and piercing through the underside of the next wolves jaw. He pulls down and out, tearing through the wolf's throat before jumping to his feet and running toward the next enemy. Xander attacks in wolf form, quickly tearing through his enemies as he stays near his mate. Making sure she's safe as she uses her magic. .... Xavier and Damien push themselves faster as they head more toward the Northwest. Xavier desperately trying to reach one of his lead warriors, Timothy.

Domini said without emotion as Victor’s face contorted to annoyance. The room was glancing between myself and Xander confused, I understood their confusion. Xander was known to be descended from Alpha blood but none of my classmates here knew I was too. Bella gave me a wink as I stood. Xander followed my lead as we both walked towards Domini and Victor. “Alright, Xander please stand here,” Domini asked with fake pleasantness in his voice, Xander either ignored it or did not notice as he did not react. “Xander, son of Alpha Clide and Luna Ashly, future Alpha to this pack. Accept this gift from our Goddess and have a fast shift.” Victor spoke coldly, his eyes boring into Xanders.

"Yes, I'm gonna look at yours." he says, grabbing his card. He opens his card to reveal a drawing of five little stick figures of him, Christine, Kai, me, and Xavier and he drew our names above all our heads with a heart in the middle of all of us. "Thank you, bubba. I love it." he says, kissing his head and hugging all of them.
