Just as she reached for the handle— “Aria.” Kira’s voice stopped her. Aria slowly turned around. Kira stood a few steps away from her, her hands folded across her chest, her eyes shooting lasers at her. “You might think everything is going well for you right now,” Kira said quietly. “You might think you’ve won.” Aria leaned casually against her door, it wasn't the first time she's heard the words from Kira and she was getting bored of it already. Kira stepped closer. “But don’t get too comfortable,” she continued. “Because I’ll take everything from you when you least expect it.” Her lips curled slightly.

She was very beautiful and had a curious but kind look. “She is Kira,” Osho informed Mila. “Kira, you know our Alpha!” Kira quickly sat on her knees and bowed in front of Mila. Mila spoke, “Rise,” and Kira sat straight. “Osho,” Kira now bowed to Osho in respect. “Kira is the best healer in the kingdom, she has a god gifted talent of remedying any and every ail. She can be part of your circle,” Osho informed.

Finally, Kir huffs and her giant body visibly relaxes as she walks to the other side of the room and lies down. Linaria continues standing in place, unsure of what to do. On one hand, she could try walking away and leaving Kira here until she changes back. On the other hand, if she moves then she risks the possibility of Kir attacking her. Faced with an unforeseen predicament, Linaria decides to take the risk and slowly walks in the direction of the exit, keeping her eyes on Kir the entire time.

Kira's POV I couldn't focus on the book I was reading because I kept thinking of the guy I met at the library Ken. He knew me as Kira even though I didn't tell him who I was and he acted so weird. I was confused. I didn't know how to contact him. Maybe I shouldn't have let him go. Now I had a lot of questions. If he knew me as Kira, then he might know how the body swap happened. But how would he know? Was his telekinesis aiding him?

I growled, grabbing her hands and almost throwing her off the bed. Kira stood with her hands crossed, watching the whole drama before her. Lola got off from where my throw had landed her, and stormed out of the room, making weeping sounds. Well, she’d better not be back; else I’ll forget that her mother is the Pack oracle. “Trouble in paradise?” Kira asked, her face still emotionless. I could barely recognize the shy, fun-loving Kira who had come into my Pack. The woman in front of me looked so stoic, perhaps even more stoic than I would be, most times.

“Nice to see you too.” He was already healing, so I didn’t bother apologizing. Instead, I started approaching my mate. Kira was standing in the middle of the room now in her little silk pajamas, knees apart like she was ready to kung-fu my ass, fists up between us like those tiny hands could actually stop me. “Stay away from me!” she barked, trying to sound tough, but her voice wobbled. I stopped dead. “Kira…are you okay?” “That depends,” she snapped, eyes huge, “on whether you’re done beating the crap out of people or not! You’re standing here buck-ass naked looking like you’re about to start World War Infinity! What the hell, Adrian? All I wanted was a phone!”

Kira explained, making me sigh. “I'm not hiding anything from you. You're just being worried. Besides that, you need to rest after the loads of pleasure you just felt , so come here,” I gestured with my hands wide open. She sighed, but her frown turned into a mine smiled when she stared at my wife open hands for a while before she looked at me. “I love cuddles. That's the only reason. Especially if they come from you,” Kira confessed, kissing me on the lips as she covered herself in my embrace, and it didn't take long before we drifted off to the land of dreams.

Kate lowered her face, flushing, and I clenched my fists together, fighting to maintain an even tone. "So, what do you want us to do, Kira? Kira looked at both of us, her expression unreadable. Then, with a tired sigh, she sat in the chair by the window. “I don’t want anything. You’re both grown. Make your mess. But don’t expect me to clean it up when it explodes.”

She does have a mate, and she lied about her background and being rejected, but she isn’t smart enough to be working with anyone else. The storm clouds above twisted and churned, flashes of lightning glinting like veins of fire. “Then let’s make sure she thinks she's won.” Kira stepped forward, kneeling in the wet grass. She placed the cub gently in the center of a ring of ancient stones, each marked with a sigil from an old Mayan script. The air began to vibrate as she raised her hands. Silver light flowed from her fingertips, spiraling into the sky.
