Miura called out. "Okay," Akiko waved again before turning the corner. What Miura said was true. It was the peak of summer. Even Hokkaido was getting quite a bit of sunlight. At first, Akiko obediently followed Miura’s advice, walking under the trees as much as possible, but then her eyes caught sight of something black and furry in the bushes. "Neko!" (cat) Akiko rushed over, but the furry creature eluded her. "Wait!" The cat was limping, so Akiko called out and recklessly chased after it. It hurt. Akiko almost tripped several times, but luckily, there were plenty of trees to hold onto. She managed not to fall.

My mom will have a fit if she finds out. A few cardboard boxes are stacked next to the trashcan. I go through them until I find one that’s clean and empty before lowering my charge inside. He protests loudly at being separated from the heat of my body. “Don’t worry.” I stroke his back. “I won’t leave you. I promise.” His claws are minuscule but sharp. I earn a scratch on my hand for my efforts. After some petting, the kitten calms again. “I’ll call you Kitty-Kat. That’s a cool name, right?”

Ankit left his friend's office. Yukio leaned his head back on the desk, brought his fingers over his lips and smiled.... Melissa, you know I didn’t finish the story?” Melissa’s POV I have long forgotten the ending of the story, so I didn’t know whether he finished it or not. “The lion took care of the antelopes calves, just to later sacrifice them to other lions. That’s true revenge!” he said clasping my shoulder. A cold shiver and sweat ran down my back. “Do you know who Kate is?” he asked me. I really think that he has lost it. She throws open the door for me. “KIKO!” “Hi, Cyrene,” I say, scooping her up. "How are you?” “MOMMA! KIKO’S HERE!” she yells at the top of her very powerful lungs. “I know, Cyrene, I heard him knock. Come in Iniko,” she says walking up and looking at me in the way she always does, as if she's assessing how I'm doing.

He’s meowing indignantly at being captured in such an undignified way. “You got me a cat,” I say with panic rising in my voice. Jeon looks a little worried. “Yes, but he’s cute, right? Do you like him?” I reach down and pick up the small warm body. The kitten immediately rubs his head into my neck, and tears well in my eyes. Without even knowing it, Jeon has given me Jonathan Masters in cat form because this kitten loves to cuddle, just like my former lover.

We would both finally have an active ability to use in defense of our people. Kitty also got onto the ground and nuzzled my neck first. She moved back and closed her eyes as she tapped into her power. It caused her fur to glow beautifully. It was even brighter than on the night we met. Her eyes opened to reveal pure white eyes that matched the color of her Moon Fire. It made her look even more stunning than she always did. There was even more power radiating throughout her right now than there normally was.

She then glanced at a small cage near her fireplace and reached for a small remote control and pressed the button that opened the cage, and a black maine coon came out. Jingfei gestured for the cat to come closer to her, “Kuro! Come to mommy! Come here baby. I’ve missed you so so much!”. After Kuro came out, he just sat down and stared at Jingfei and started cleaning himself before going closer to the young lady.

The contrast of her—soft, warm, and expressive—against the darkness of the underground fighting world made her look like something otherworldly. And for some goddamn reason, Kane liked hearing her talk. Which was new. He pulled off his hoodie, leaving him in his fitted white t-shirt. He heard her inhale sharply, her green eyes flickering to his exposed arms, where ink covered his skin. The dim lighting in the car made her red hair shine. He smirked as he started the car. "So, uhmm..." she cleared her throat, shifting in her seat. "How old are you?" Kane kept his eyes on the road. "Twenty-nine. You?"
