Knight's Sacred Burden
A blinding arc of green electricity crackled from the tip, tearing through the damp air toward Julian.
Before it could hit, Kael stepped forward. He threw his massive, calcified arm out, catching the bolt of energy directly in his palm.
The shockwave knocked Julian off his feet. But Kael didn't flinch. The green lightning didn't burn his skin; instead, it seemed to be sucked directly into the black obsidian scales, turning them a vibrant, glowing emerald.
Kael roared, a sound that was more beast than man. He lunged forward, the sheer weight of his heavy body carrying him through the sludge with terrifying speed.
