La Herencia Capitulo 2 Novels & Stories

She hesitated for a few seconds before resolving her will and stretching her hand to reach Lucinda's one. As the two hands touched each other, Lucinda tightened his grip and spoke in a solemn voice. "I declare you Eccentric Thunder's heir." The conditions of his deal were met and the orange rune moved from her torso toward his fingers before entering Yaoyao's body. A torrent of information flowed into her sea of consciousness and she released the handshake as she kneeled on the floor to support herself. "This, this…" She was speechless as the specifics of the inheritance ground became clear in her mind.

I look at her. "Why?" "Magic." She says it like the answer should be obvious. "Girls tend to inherit the magical bloodline more consistently. Boys can inherit it, but it's much less common." She pauses. "So if your mother was part witch..." I stare at her. "Then having a girl first actually makes sense." I think about it. She's right. My parents had me first. And now I'm having a girl. "It's strange." "What is?" "That I've spent my entire life thinking there was something unusual about me..."

“Ariana Sterling secures guardianship.” “Jackson Sterling, named heir of Robin Sterling’s business assets.” Elara’s stomach dropped. “What?” The head official adjusted his glasses. “As Robin’s only adult son, Jackson inherits controlling shares. As for you, Miss Sterling—you will receive inheritance upon reaching legal age.” Laughter rippled faintly. Felicia smirked behind her mother’s shoulder. Elara shot to her feet. “That’s theft! He wanted me to inherit—” Ariana’s gaze cut sharp as a knife. “Sit down, child.”

And most importantly, what secrets still lingered in the shadows of the villa? This chapter highlights the theme of legacy and the intertwining of past and present. The unexpected twist involving the children introduces a sense of mystery, tying their future to the villa's enigmatic history and setting the stage for a deeper exploration of their family’s roots. The room felt alive with an eerie energy as Sophia, Ethan, and Liam examined its contents. Clara stayed at the top of the stairs, her little hands gripping the banister as if she could sense something no one else could. Sophia set the photograph down and picked up one of the ledgers. The brittle pages crumbled slightly under her touch

In her hand, she held not a glass of whisky, but the glowing QX-7 key. “You see, Anton?” Not-Evelyn said with his father’s voice. “Legacy is just another asset to be liquidated.” She pressed the key to the side of his head. It wasn't cold. It was burning. A searing, intelligent heat that burrowed into his skull, searching, sifting through his memories, his fears, his love for Sabe— “No price is too high,” the chimera of his father and his betrayer whispered. “Not even you.”

Two years of hate hadn’t done anything to quench it. He sensed fear and wariness. Something else had happened. “Something happened.” Adrian said. She looked away, avoiding his eyes. “I was confronted by one of you last night.” She said quietly. His mind raced back to yesterday. Night? He thought. Sebastian has approached her at noon. It wasn’t him, she’d have said so. “Who?” Keira eyes swept around uneasily before finding his face again. “A man with a ghastly scar that ran down the left side of his face…” she said, something flashed in her eyes. “He didn’t leave his name.”

Leo nodded and disappeared down the stairs, his footsteps light and eager. Lydia and Adrian stayed on the balcony for a moment longer, watching the lighthouse beam begin its nightly sweep. The white light cut through the gathering dusk, a steady, rhythmic pulse that said *We are here, we are alive, and the way is clear.* The inheritance was finally settled. It wasn't found in the blood, the labs, or the towers. It was found in the salt of the sea, the soil of the gardens, and the eyes of the children who would never know the name of the man who tried to own the sun.

I said flatly. Kelvin laughed, clearly not reading the room. “You’ve got a wild one living under this roof, boys.” Luca narrowed his eyes. “Who?” I ignored him. I walked straight to the middle of the room and stood still. “I’m taking it back,” I said. They all looked at me. Marcus set his glass down. “What are you talking about?” “The inheritance,” I said. “The house. The rights. All of it. I’m getting it back from Hailey.”

With the added land, our pack would end up big enough for both our children to manage. Promptly at nine o'clock, Perry and Delilah arrived. Daemon and I were waiting in the office for them. "Good to see you again, Alpha, Luna," Perry began. "As you are aware, we have the results of the DNA test. There is absolutely no doubt that you are Luna Mara and Alpha Davide's heir. As their heir and the last of the Silver Wolf Pack, all buildings and lands have become your property to dispose of as you wish." This was as Daemon and I had thought it would be, and there were no surprises.

She fell silent for a long moment before finally asking, "What do you want, then? I'll give it to you, no matter what it is. All I want is for you to come back." I thought about the eight years of my life I'd let her waste. "The things I wanted… You're no longer worthy of giving them to me." "Nathan Garrison!" Cheryl snapped at last. "You really think you're going to go far without me? You're just some broke nobody! Without me, you're nothing!" I hung up without hesitation when I heard her screeching. I'd just slipped my phone back into my pocket when I saw my family's butler, David Brown, standing at the entrance of the lounge.
