La Madre De Los Dragones Novels & Stories

he shouted, not sure who he was asking. The middle child closed his eyes. “She made a promise,” he said. “Not to the Dark. To the house.” --- Memory bled into the room. They saw their mother kneeling, long before her death, fingers digging into the earth beneath the floor. They saw her burying something wrapped in cloth — something that moved. They heard her voice cracking as she swore protection, shelter, inheritance. Take me instead, Lerato had pleaded. Leave them. The promise had been accepted. But not completed.

My mother's words took me by surprise. Since it was dangerous for my identity to be exposed, why did she want me to ascend the throne? “ I Know what you are thinking, Mia. Don't worry. With you reclaiming the lost glory of the dragons, you will have the support of the remaining dragons. Those scumbags will think twice before offending the dragons. We might have gone into hiding before, but that doesn't mean we are scared of anyone.” My mother's words carried a hint of

“So tell me are there other dragons around the world or are we all that’s left?” Gaz with a look of sadness in his eyes said,” Unfortunately we here are all that I know that have survived an attack on our race by sorcerers and witches who teamed up with other shifters to kill us off the face of the earth. I am very sorry to have heard about Xander and Carla. I know you don’t remember but I am a cousin to your mother. I used to come here many years ago after Carla and Xander became mates. Your mother was carrying you and swore me to secrecy never to tell a soul about you. They kept you hid from the world because they knew you would be more powerful and gifted than any dragon. It was an old pr

Valmore nodded, accepting what Mallik just said. "We only know about fairy drifters, we don't know about the dragons. Dragons are a race born in fairy, so it must be true. Only drifters have the ability to see us, so it must be true. It must be that Dragon drifter who tripped the drifter sensor" Valmore agreed. Mallik thought the same thing. "It's not the only thing I came across this time. I heard gossip that this dragon drifter's mate looks like the late princess Catherina and she must be Catherina's missing daughter" Mallik shared about the gossip that the entire summer realm is whispering about.

she moved her attention to the other side of the plate, "These are dragons. And this here, what looks like a modest crown…." "Ok, honey, but what this all means? What is it?" Ethan was the first one to voice what everyone thought. Once she was back on the sofa, she spoke: "Roughly? A daughter of the dragon will tame the fire. And I'm pretty sure that fire here is not a literal fire." Everyone took their seats, still not understanding what this was all about. Kate and Richard were staring at Sarah long enough for everyone else to notice, so they looked at Sarah too.

"Because I don't want any kind of conflicts between our kingdoms in the future, at least not because of me. Though I have not seen how close you and my mother were, I have heard ample stories from my father. And he understands your anger as well as he also blames himself for my mother's death. And it's not a big deal telling you about me as the others might not know about the existence of the white dragon and the unfinished war but all the Kings and Queens from all the kingdoms know about it. So by reviling my identity, I am just giving a face to the information you already know" Lea answered.

The full moon is shining brightly over the sea. "Why is the full moon night sacred?" She asks, not wanting to open the subject directly. "Shh. Listen carefully." She does as he asks and hears the dragon. His growls are not scary tonight, they sound like a melody. A song filled with melancholy and sadness. "He is the last of his kind. When the moon was full, dragons mated. Now, he can only sing, hoping a mate would come. It's a sacred night because a dragon child conceived in this night will be blessed with a stronger connection with Dracos."

Her laughter echoed through the chamber. "So you've returned," she spoke in a low whisper as she rose from her chair. "Did you think I didn't know you were there spying on me?" "You killed my mother, and my friends! You slaughtered my people!" cried Mantegor. "Nay!" said the dragon queen. "It was the treasure you stole from us which brought doom to your village. Zhyrtuk warned you that the treasure was accursed, but you wouldn't listen!"

The young women were eventually stolen away from all that they knew and brought to the dragon's realm. Our mothers appeared happy and I never doubted that my mother loved my father. Dragons produce only male offspring, so the stealing of virgins was as old as time. I think if we were able to form a bond with the terrified brides before stealing them away, we may have had a chance. This wasn't the Goddess's plan for us.

“You are indeed mischievous like your mother and I am glad about it. I like seeing you resembling her; it makes me back to those days when I saw her as a slave coming to the Mizenth manor for the first time.” She got lost in her memories smiling. I heard tales about my mother from Lady Markbill. However, the only memory I had of her was an unfortunate one. My mother wasn’t a normal dragon either; she was a researcher in the field of ancient history, going through old books and exploring ruins. My mother was a brilliant mind. Nonetheless, she got dragged into Dotoria and for other races, Dotoria was like a prison and hell on the planet. No one could use their abilities correctly and we were a
