Marcus' POV The challenge began with a level of complexity that immediately demanded our full attention. We were locked inside an elaborately decorated room that felt like a cross between an old library and a scientific laboratory. Shelves packed with fake books, vintage equipment, paintings hiding coded messages, secret drawers—it was a sophisticated escape room designed to test both our teamwork and our ability to solve problems under pressure.

Patrick asked as if nothing happened. “One of the wolves is out of control.” Patrick and I exchange glances. “Lead the way, man.” Just our luck. This is it. I try to communicate with Liam and Lucas. “We may have found the secret lab. It´s on Sub-level 4.” “We´re on our way.” Liam replied through the pack link. The Lab Technician leads us to Sub-Level 4. He keys in the code, which I relay to Liam. “The code to the elevator is Alpha-9-6-5-3-Omega.”

I chuckled at his statement " Ohh God, what a gun!" He said touching it I slapped his hand, " Don't touch." " Ouch." He said rubbing his hand " I didn't mean it to be that harsh." He just glared at me. I put my hand on his neck lightly and guided him to another room " We have here all the types of medicines, first aid kit and other medical machines. " " This room is the escape room. Here we have torches, some corde, Helmets, a biodefense air-filtration system that removes biological and nuclear contaminants, gas masks, and a simple portable toilet. we have closets to put some clothes or something."

The rats are not attacking. They're fleeing... Christ... The rushing sound grows louder, growling through the air, then thundering... As realisation dawns, I drop to the ground again, rats scattering one side and the other, speeding past me, dashing forward and away, getting the hell out... The sinking ship... Dodging rodents, sidestepping between one and another, I snatch up my pitiful 'rope'. Looping it around myself: my waist, my arms, my chest... Clambering back onto the seat of the chair, I snatch onto the grating of my water supply... listening...

He swiftly raised his arm, activated the watch's camera function, and captured a clear snapshot of the characters. "Let's see what this says," Kenny whispered. He tapped a few buttons on his watch's screen, activating the translation feature. The watch scanned the image, and within seconds, the characters transformed into English text on the display. "The characters say 'Advanced Research Laboratory.' This must be the place we are looking for," Kenny exclaimed. As they approached the door, they noticed something. Despite the absence of a guard at the entrance, the lab's door was secured with complex locks, keypads, and biometric scanners.

A choking chemical smell stung my throat and eyes. “Elara—take the west side!” I said, over the thrashing of feet behind me. She agreed, eyes blazing in her wolf body. And Lyra followed her, shard visibly pulsing beneath her skin, Damien looming through the exit. We surged into the facility. The lab in the east was crumbling to pieces—walls flickering with red emergency lights, silver runes flickering as they lost their power. Fingers of smoke twisted around broken columns. There were guards shouting orders, voices mingling with gunfire and growling.

It led not up, but down, deep into the building’s bowels. The lower level was a revelation. It was the building’s skeleton, damp concrete, snaking pipes, the groan of distant machinery, but it had been modified. New conduits ran along the ceiling. Small cameras, their red LEDs like watching insect eyes, tracked their progress from corners. As they moved down a narrow corridor, a calm, digital voice issued from a hidden speaker. “Variable pair demonstrates cohesive movement. Stress response elevated. Proceed to evaluation chamber one.” They were rats in a maze, and the scientist was narrating their run.

Byron hadn’t called anyone on the phone. But his mental state had not changed he was still insane. He hadnt abducted anyone yet, but he still did his experiments. “All of my rats have gone missing, as if they knew I was after them as if they were saved by an angel.” Byron said, holding a rat with his two hands tightly preventing it from breathing. Byron then looked up at the ceiling, Agent lunga controlled the robo bugs to try and hide them.

I screamed at them . They nodded at each other before turning back to us . " You've got thirty minutes to get your friends to find you . This warehouse has bombs all over. It will blow up if you don't get out in time ." They said together before turning back to leave. They shut the front door on us and leaving us trapped. " What the fúck are we ? Players in escape room ? "Jasper glared but it was too late . They were gone. " Shouting won't help . Let's try and contact the others . We still have some minutes before we turn to roasted meat . "

Daniel Cross appeared stumbling into his room shortly after midnight looking terrified. He locked the door behind himself before frantically searching through drawers like he was looking for something. Then the footage cut. “That’s it?” Liam demanded. [Find the missing truth.] The screen went black again. For a brief second, nobody moved. Then Julian clapped once. “Fantastic! We’re in an escape room sponsored by psychopaths.” “We need to search everything,” Moira said immediately.
