Even the current dean regretfully said that Dolores could continue to work in the field of scientific research if genetic engineering had not been prohibited by the Ethics Committee...

He hadnt abducted anyone yet, but he still did his experiments. “All of my rats have gone missing, as if they knew I was after them as if they were saved by an angel.” Byron said, holding a rat with his two hands tightly preventing it from breathing. I have permits.” “Specimens?” he echoed. “Yes,” I replied without missing a beat. “Genetically sensitive laboratory rats. A special breed. Highly reactive. Harmful if mishandled.” It wasn’t even a lie. Not entirely. The officer didn’t look convinced. “I’ll need to verify that,” he said, stepping closer. “Unlock the door.”

They were free—truly free—after spending months as lab rats. Alpha Dante coughed up blood as he ran out of the lab. He stared down the street, and a mischievous glint passed through his eyes. “Stop! Don’t go, my pupils!!” He roared, his voice echoing down the street, but the kids didn’t answer him.

With that, Liam hit ‘play’ and the footage began to roll. For the longest time, the lab was empty. Everything was as it should be. But then… One night, two figures walked into the lab—a man and a woman in ski masks and dark clothing. They weren’t alone. A scraggly stray dog followed them, led by a leash in the man’s hand. The room collectively held its breath, then, as the cameras followed them through the lab. The man wrestled the dog into the glass sanitization chamber, then tossed a treat in after it.

The rat heard the Doctor whistling and followed her commands. She then commands the rat to attack the two other members at the table.
