Lab Rats: Douglas Novels & Stories

Skye’s POV After careful planning, the day we were going to execute our attack on Douglas Cane’s biggest laboratory came. It turned out this asshole had a lot of them in different areas for different research. Some of them are unimaginable. Well, all of them were unbelievable, but there seemed to be different levels of amusement for different people, and this Douglas Cane is indulging in them, earning billions of dollars at the same time. We, I meant Gab, Marco, me, and our people, only knew about the orphan kids being the subject of research to create an almost robotic-like human and send them to do whatever tasks their owner, or master, wants them to do.

He fired up his computer and dove into the numbers. On the flip side, Helma was already mixing up a new batch. Hort did a double-take at two extra lab rats. "I thought we had only one tough cookie left. What's with these two...?" That got everyone craning their necks. Leon popped his head up from his screen, a lightbulb going off. "Miss King, you didn't happen to see this train wreck coming from a mile away, did you?" He had a flashback to these two lab rats.

Everything needed to be noted as it would be made into a book later regarding the research and put in the library for future reference. However, when James looked into the log dated recently, he did not see anything being injected into a lab rat. There was, however, the injection log of his daughter and it was dated two days ago. But the logs of the days before that, even dated a week back had not shown there were any experiment on the lab rats using the last serum. He was confused about this, recalling that the doctor might forgot it at his home. But even the doctor would not make a mistake such as forgetting to update the log here.

She used the hand that she wore the red bracelet on. I clapped my hands, and the private detective brought in a white lab rat. I inserted that extra brain part into the white lab rat’s body. Then, I reset the bone of a patient. The white lab rat died. I had learned that Dahlia had spent a lot of money bidding on an item overseas. It was a closed bid, but the items at that auction were usually magical. It looked like she had bid for that brain part to transfer pain. “She’s a fraud for lying and harming our people with a foreign object!”

As she wanted to think of a way to get out of these chains, that voice called out to her. *Alexandra* *Find me* The same way this was happening, the human lab rat in the next room was hearing her own voice in his head. The two fell into a short dream state. The two saw each other from a far distance and were walking towards each other. They continued to walk till they had reached each other and were shocked on facing themselves. *I'm the lab rat here. He made me this* he said *My blood will be used to create a beast out of you, I'm sorry*

He glanced over his shoulder, following where Deborah's and Xavier’s eyes were. “Oh, there you are,” Mr. Doug said happily in a loud voice. “I was telling Deborah about our neighbor. I think they’re aliens.” “Interesting…” I repeated what Deborah said, a nervous chuckle escaping my mouth. I swallowed hard, hoping it would flush my heart back into my chest. My heart pounded hard as embarrassment pricked every part of my body as I shifted my eyes to everyone except Aiden. Mr. Douglas shifted to his seat, resting his arm on the top rail of the backrest. He narrowed his eyes and stared at me, then at Aiden.

Amongst the mountains, all kinds of animals were wandering and birds were jumping cheerfully in the trees. However, there was another world under the ground. 30 meters beneath, an advanced modern laboratory was running in order. Davis and Garnett were sitting together on a comfortable leather sofa. On the wall across the room was a large electronic screen. On the screen were pictures of Tang Long with Lin Momo. Next to them, two technicians were working on the computers deftly. The instructions they issued were exactly the same as what Tang Long was saying. They even controlled Tang Long's expression.

The rat moved around frantically and began to convulse. “Please, Good God . No” he sighed sadly and was about to turn away when he noticed something. The rat stopped convulsing and began to breathe at a normal rate. Soon it started to move about in a healthy fashion. “ SUCCESS!!” he leaped in joy and danced around the lab “X-SERUM IS BORN!!”. Soon he came to his senses as a sudden thought came to his mind. “Of course” he muttered. “ Side effects.. I need to test for side eff..”

" We still got thirty minutes before the normal closing hour " Douglas nodded. He pulled out his cell phone to put a call to one of the Researcher's team, and he stopped abruptly. " Should I call upon Stuart? " He asked Asher who nodded. " Whoever. Just have the syringe brought here " Douglas excused himself while making the call. Mini, on the other hand, stood for some seconds in silence before clearing her throat. " I ... I guess I'd start going, sir. Since there is nothing else to ... "
