This was the blueprint of their new world. Foundation director Elara was in serious conversation with the lanky, purple-haired boy from the Brooklyn shelter—Leo, who had begun interning with the foundation just a short time before and exuding a confidence that months earlier would have been unthinkable. A pair of Jonah's old acquaintances from his pre-Roberts Global days were debating the advantages and disadvantages of different hull coatings with all the air of academicians strictly theoretical and wholly sincere.

Leo promises Dad, who smiles at us before stepping away. “You two ain’t ever getting mates.” I hear Alejandro mutter and I smile, taking one last look around; Damon and Robyn give me a smile, Zack and Taylor too… Taking a deep breath, I turn my attention to my future. “Ready?” Leo asks softly. I nod and the music is turned down as Marcel becomes serious, looking at Leo with pride and happiness.

“I’m not the king.” “Ah yeah, the future king… still counts, congratulations,” I say. “Nothing to congratulate me about… Sounds like a fucking shitshow waiting to give me a fucking headache.” Leo says, circling the small confined area. “Understandable.” “So, are we going all out, or are we sneaking out?” He asks with a cold smirk. I smirk. “Well, I don’t think there is a way to get out of here without being noticed, so why bother lying low?”

He looked at me, one last, lingering look that promised the nursing session wasn't over and then looked at Leo. "You’re a very well-timed child, Leo. Remind me to buy you a telescope. Or a locked door." Lucien strode out of the room, leaving the air humming in his wake. Leo turned back to me, the magnifying glass still in his hand. He walked to the side of the bed and looked at my hand, the one with the Mountain Fleece. "You shouldn't play with him, Antonella," Leo said quietly. "He’s a predator. And predators don't care about the Fleece. They only care about the meat."

"Do you know what velociraptors eat?" I blinked. What an odd question "Uh. Small mammals?" "And lawyers," he added seriously. "My auntie says so." I bit back a laugh. "Smart kid." He glowed at that praise. "My name's Leo." Selena stiffened and slapped a hand against her forehead, muttering something indiscernible, softly underneath her breath. "Leo," I muttered softly. Selena stood then, her movements swift. "Well, we're going. Big day tomorrow. First impressions and all that."

The robotics lab was louder than usual that afternoon because the regional competition was only three weeks away and every student on the elite team suddenly believed their project was the most important invention in the history of childhood ambition, while Leo sat at the corner table surrounded by wires, circuit boards, and half-finished prototypes with the kind of focus that made even older students avoid distracting him because they had already learned that once Leo entered that quiet state the rest of the room simply disappeared from his mind.

Tavor gathered three of his best red troopers and one white moon troop member at dawn in a secret cave, to instruct them on what to do. Leo is a young accormite who has the zeal of developing his knowledge about humans and also follow the footsteps of his idol, Marpha. Even though his father is a red trooper, Leo refused to believe that their kind is only meant to be killers. He believed in Martha's theory of them having connections with the outside world. Leo was very excited when Darius chose him to accompany the red troopers to the human settlement. He is gifted with wisdom and can already do so much as a young student of the white moon troop.

Luck was on his side, today to save Lola, Torak has agreed to make her his pet and since that old bones was now involved, Lola's life will never be the same. Every now and then, Leo stole a glance at his boss through the rearview mirror, he became very worried seeing how he's acting weird, "boss," he called again yet there's no response, not knowing what to do next, he focused on the road with different thoughts popping up in his head. The drive was a quiet one, as their minds were occupied with different thoughts, " head to the lab," Ryan's sudden instruction caused Leo to lose hold of the wheel; he almost collided with a tree, fortunately he was quick to step on the brake pad.

*At the lab* Leo arrived and was greeted by the men. "Go to your stations. The serpent will be here tomorrow morning and doesn't want any mishaps," He said. The men followed and now he is left with the head doctor. "Everything is set," "Good," He pressed something inside his pocket. "Now," He said and in just a mere five seconds, the lights went out, and a series of gunshots echoed the place. Eric's men hacked the system so that the CCTV will not catch everything. One of James' men rushes to Leo to report.

"Then set the schedule; I will convey it to Aini later." “No,” Leo said, shaking his head. He threw down the document in his hand and turned his chair around. "I will meet him in person." "Meeting my... future wife.”
