Chapter 11 Elara’s POV Kylan offered me his arm as we continued along the garden path. “The roses bloom late here, but when they do, the entire path smells like moonlight.” I took his arm lightly, careful not to put too much weight on my injured leg. “It’s beautiful,” I said, glancing at the heavy crimson blooms that lined the stone path. “I’ve never seen flowers this color before.” Kylan smiled. “They were planted by Lucian’s mother centuries ago. Absolutely magnificent. The fragrances here seem to be amplified for some reason and stronger than normal. Maybe it is because the garden is protected by walls on three sides which lock the beautiful scents in. My eyes soak in everything, but soon stop at the various rose bushes at the back. I think every possible color is there: pink, red, white, peach, yellow and various combinations of each. Rose tried to figure out the figure Kenzie was referring to. Still, she couldn't find a beautiful woman with the intended features. Many women were dressed in red, but none were wearing blue glasses. "Roses are like you and Ruby like. Ruby with red roses and Rose with white roses." Ryan looked at the beautiful rose in Rose's hand.

The silvery-blue flower continued to grow before our eyes, unfurling delicate petals that seemed to capture and reflect the light in an almost impossible way. As it reached full bloom, a subtle fragrance filled the room, clean and pure, like the first breath of air after a cleansing rain.

Layla pulled my hand, trying to get me to stay with her. "Honey? What's going on? Are you not happy to see me? Who is she?" She questioned. I turned and looked at her. After seeing my mate, Layla is nothing compaired to her. Alexandria had long, brown hair with beautiful hazel eyes. Layla had short blonde hair and brown eyes. Her face was always caked in makeup. Jeffrey got up and jumped up and down to get there. He thought the flowers had bloomed, and I was back. But how could a rose that was uprooted bloom? He opened the iron gate of the rose garden and found that the land was loose. He saw Joanna holding a small hoe, squatting on the ground, and plowing bit by bit. "Look, Jeffrey, I want the roses I planted to bloom all over the garden." Without waiting for him to respond, Joanna, who was wearing high fashion and exquisite makeup-, hugged him. "Happy? They swirled gently from left to right, and then forward and backward, like a shy bride dancing. The flower was Roksolana's favorite of all the flowers blooming around. And some of those flowers include the Lilly, the red rose, the hibiscus, the coneflowers, the daisy, and the sunflowers. There was also the milkweed which attracts butterflies and other wildlife around it. All of which any other lady wouldn't mind gazing at. All but Roksolana. Even her maids sometimes asked her why she loved the flowers so much.
