Silly girl. She wasn’t even coming for the party; she was far away in her maternal pack, spending her leave visiting her grandmother. But now she was calling me like a bored gossip with too much time on her hands. I declined the call. Two seconds later, it rang again. And again. “Okay, okay,” I grumbled, snatching the phone up. “What now, Bella? You better not start with—” “Lana!” she cut in, her voice tight and urgent. “Listen, this isn’t about Damon, I swear. Something’s up.”

Lena's POV. I hummed a sweet, melodious tune as I walked down from the market with a bag of groceries in my hand. I couldn't get his voice out of my mind. I was excited. Too excited. He promised to marry me, he promised to make me his Luna. And even as I silently flung open the door, I could hear his voice in my head. Literally. “Yes! oh god! Yes! Come on, fuck the shit out of me” a loud moan snapped me out of my head. I froze looking straight ahead at the couch.

And I don't want to give him hopes or lead him on. My phone rings, taking my mind away from Nate. It's Lana! Finally! Lana doesn't greet me or explain why the fùck she's not been picking my calls. She just screams on the phone. "I'm getting married!!!" ****

Elder Elias took the dagger back and announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby declare that this pack now has an official Luna. Please give our new Luna, Luna Raina Stone Vesper, a round of applause.” We turned to face the crowd, and they got to their feet, clapping, cheering and smiling at us. “Congratulations, Luna!” Someone from the crowd whose voice I recognised as Lucia's yelled, and the rest of the crowd followed, uttering congratulations as the cheers got louder and louder. My heart wouldn’t stop slamming against my ribcage, my lips stretching into a big smile, they ached. I felt like I was on top of the world. Who would have thought I would ever be someone’s Luna?

Everyone saw it. “I’m nearly done I promise”. Going to my closet I picked up the box. I was nervous about wearing them but tonight felt right. Taking them out the box I slipped them onto my feet. Red lips meant one thing… Red bottoms. “Yes girl”. Lana laughed. “My moms outside”. Alanna said looking up from her phone. “But we have to get a picture before we go”. She grinned. Taking the picture she uploaded it to F******k. “Okay now we’re good”.

“Lana is on the phone.” I paused, staring at her phone. My hand lifted softly and it shook as I took her phone. “Hello, Lana?” I gulped, waiting. “Ma’am,” Lana called from the other side. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I had to come back home for a family emergency. Anna will cover my spot and I will be back as soon as possible.” She kept going while I listened in shock. “Ma’am, are you there?” She asked.

“Mrs. Gina—” “This is between you and me.” My voice was sharp, brooking no argument. “Promise me.” Lana lowered her gaze. “I promise.” “Good.” I set my glass down. “Who is Elena, really?” Lana flinched slightly. “She was a housemaid.” “I know that. What I don’t know is what business she has with Gina.” Lana twisted her fingers together, clearly debating whether to answer. “Don’t lie to me, Lana.” My tone was controlled, but firm. “I already know Gina has been meeting with her. I just want confirmation.”

This bitch. "Rita! Hi, I can't talk now. I am working. At lunch maybe?" I try to sound professional. "I know Ethan. Haha, you are so funny. There is a package from A****n from Ryan. I am sending it to the tenth floor and see you at lunch." I hear her irksome giggles before she keeps her side of the phone. And I really feel like a dumb bitch.

Danika Williams I called Elizabeth as I started getting ready but I was a mess. I didn’t understand what was appropriate to wear, how much makeup was appropriate to apply or how high my shoes can be.
