Astrid called it her button nose. Lana was sitting on the couch with a cushion on her lap staring at the floor resting her slim face on her long slender fingers. We found Lana in Spain, she still carried that Spanish beauty of hers with her tan caramel skin. Her light brown hair was thrown to the side barely reaching her collar bone. Her dark brown eyes focused and deep in thought. Lana always had a serious resting face, but she was the sweetest person I knew. I knew Tristan had voiced his worry to her. “I thought you were in trouble” He said as I walked in, a slight relief in his demeanor.

There's a knock at the door that catches our attention. "It's probably just Will," I say, expecting him to come up and apologize, maybe do some groveling. "Come in!" The door slowly opens and it's Lana who stands in the doorway. She wears yet another dress, the color of black. Her hair is pinned up and she has a devilish look upon her face. "It is time," she states. "At least you have one person on your side," whispers Teyana, the current head of the Ohio compound in mind. I stare over at Lana.

Taking note of my panting friend still stood in the doorway of our shared bedroom. “Tickets!” She all screams at me, “to Howlers this Friday! Happy Birthday!” “Seriously Elle? They aren’t not going to let two seventeen years olds into the hottest night club in town.” I comment, quickly losing interest. “I’ve sorted that too.” She squeals, revealing her other hard behind her back and producing two very shiny looking provisional driver licences. And that reminded her of her birthday tomorrow. Tomorrow would be no ordinary birthday because it will be her debut. Excitement swam in her blood and a smile crept on her mouth. She had always wanted to have a life of her own especially one where she called the shots. Independence was her one and only wish since she figured that she could survive single-handedly. An intrusion of Aunt Caroline’s image inside her head instantly burst Ellaine’s bubble. Once she has finished, she took a step back to look at her handy work. "What do you think?" She question apprehensively. I turned away from her to look in the mirror and my breath caught in my throat. She had outdone herself, I looked amazing. My white-blonde hair had been left down in loose waves with two intricate fishtail plaits, one on either side. My makeup had been done with green and blue eyeshadow to bring out my eyes. I was born with heterochromia so had one green eye and one blue. The eye look has been completed with a soft black cat eye eyeliner and my lips had been left a nude shade to leave the focus on my eyes.

“How can you not get married? Don’t be a fool. You’re the Goddess of War! Besides, you’re fantastic-looking and attractive. I bet a lot of men out there would be head over heels for you when they see you!” Selena smiled and added, “But an excellent woman like you should pick your life partner carefully and this matter cannot be rushed!” “You’re right. Oh ya! You guys shouldn’t call me Master Lana or Goddess of War, especially when we get to Swallow City. If you continue calling me that, won’t I wear this mask for nothing?” Lana reminded the group after thinking about it. “Is it okay for me to call you Lana?” Selena asked with a frown.

I know I will but I can’t tell her that otherwise she won’t let me. Pulling out of the hug, I caress the side of her face. "I don’t like it here, Bell." She peeps. Layla calls me Bell because she’s a diehard fan of ‘Tinker Bell’ and she says I am her Tinker Bell. "I want to come home with you." Once she took the phone out from her pocket, her body instantly became more attractive than it already was. She looked at the phone to see Pearl calling, but she took too long to answer, so Pearl had already hung up on her. Lana had added Pearl on Wechat, and she came here today for her interview. Lana almost missed her appointment because of the accident. It was Lana’s first time coming to such a big corporation, and she wanted to leave a good impression.
