the man said with hesitation. What was he hesitating? It will be better if he goes by himself. “If it is not worth my time, I will fire you!” he threatened as he stood up, leaving the office. He drove into the compound, not caring to stop at all. He stepped out of the car. He walked towards the door, pushing it open. He looked up and saw no one. It was like he did not leave a single soul at home. Or rather, the soul that was responsible for making the place noisy was not around.

I stated as I lifted up my arm to show the device that would help me be more independent. The smile he had was quick to leave. I would've questioned it and thought he didn't like the idea of me not needing his help anymore but I was no longer naive. I should've never even mentioned it because this device was all I had to fight back. So I would have to learn on my own. These presentations had my mind all messed up and me not thinking about what really mattered. My arm was gently grabbed by him bringing me back to him. I didn't even realize I had spaced out for a second. His worried and regretful face had me looking down at my arm that he was now holding alittle too tight.
