Lee Lockwood Library Novels & Stories

He understood relationships were built on trust, and he didn't want to pry into her personal life. Leo shook his head, as if to quell any residual curiosity about his choice. He let out a sigh and opened the library's doors, allowing himself to be overwhelmed by the wealth of information within. The fragrance of wood, leather-bound volumes, and ancient parchment welcomed him to the large chamber. The shelves extended skyward, densely packed with books. Leo enjoyed the peace of the library; it was a haven from the hassles of pack life, a place to bury himself in the knowledge and tales of bygone eras.

the old man asked, sweeping his hands over the two desks. After taking their seats, the old man introduced himself as Library Master Buckins, before pushing his glasses back up his nose and proceeded to tell them information about the library, who built it, how many books currently reside on its shelves, soon an hour had gone by and Master Buckins was still telling stories about the library, Rex felt his eye lids getting heavy. “Rex, wake up, want to sneak off and go look at the beast market? I heard they have some rare catches today” Lacey whispered, nudging Rex.

Well, those trips turned out to be his way of meeting Darcy in secret, after all. I was so bored at home that when the offer to design the library came, I didn’t think twice about accepting it. Everyone was shocked that I agreed to leave Lockwood for Saint City and stay for a whopping two weeks. I felt so alive doing what I loved, and I didn’t hold back in designing the interior of the library. It was nothing too fancy, but I gave the place the cozy feeling that most libraries lacked.

From time to time, she would look up to check where she’s going, stopping abruptly when she reached the library entrance to get her student ID to show to the guard. Upon getting the clear-go, Leigh went to the third floor straight to the archives section. It was on the upper floor of the library building visited only by a few people. Rocky told her to go to the viewing room used for viewing microforms. Immediately, her eyes became vigilant as she looked through her left, right and back to check if there was anyone around. Leigh heaved a relieved sigh when she found the place empty and quickly slid inside. She strode to an empty chair, dumping her bag on the nearby table before dusting the

Star reached into her large handbag and pulled out the heavy leather-bound book. Dropping it on the table, she smirked in satisfaction when small particles of dust lifted from the surface, “This book contains every detail my father has collected on the Lockwood pack over the past ten years, it has everything from maps of the territory to patrol routines.” Stone’s greedy gaze fell on the book, but something in his gaze told her he wasn’t going to make it easy. “If your father had so much information on the pack, why did he never attack?” Stone’s eyes narrowed.

Maya asked. "Of course," Lora said. "The library is fully accessible." Maya spent forty minutes in the library, running her fingers along shelves of books that ranged from ancient leather-bound volumes in languages she didn't recognize to modern first editions she'd have killed to own. She pulled several out, examined them, put them back with the careful reverence of someone who genuinely loved books. Eventually, Lora had gently mentioned continuing the tour, and Maya had reluctantly left the library with a mental list of volumes she intended to come back for.

Leo looked at me threw the rearview mirror as I tilted my head back and closed my eyes willing the throbbing in my head away "What library are we going to?" I could still feel Leo looking at me, I wanted to tell him to keep his eyes on the road but thought better of it "Connor has given us access to his place, He has the most extensive supernatural book collection in the world" my eyes snapped open and I drilled holes in the back of his head but he refused to look at me again

Something that might finally give me direction out of this place. The custodian had told me once about a hidden structure above the library. A small room, more like an attic, where the most classified records of the Blackwood pack were kept. I had dismissed it then. Now it was impossible to forget. If anything in this fortress held information about the ancient witch who cursed their bloodline, it would be there. I entered the library quietly. The custodian was stacking scrolls at his desk, humming softly. I approached him with a warm smile and asked about a book I had pretended to misplace.

"The Blackwood Project was never about wolves. It was about making a body to hold the Void.. Your little boy? He is the body." The Shadows closed in on Leo. The library doors shut behind them. They were locked in with the ghost of a King and a truth that was scarier than the darkness outside.

The guards would be here any time soon which meant there was no time to waste. I ran through the building until I got to the doors of the library. The artwork on the door never failed to blow my mind away. The design and the intricate carvings were a masterpiece. I pushed lightly and the door opened without resistance. The library was not like any other on the planet. The moonstone pack was the only pack known to keep records of historical events, and boy did we have history. The room was also the basement and it burrowed deep into the ground. The roof of the library was almond two hundred feet high and it was filled with shelves that overflowed with books.
