Lena's POV. “Hello, ma'am,” the doctor waved his left hand, and felt my pulse with his right hand. “How many fingers am I holding up?” “Can I get a name? Can you speak?” He continued, not even giving me a chance to think or respond. He suddenly stopped and pointed a little fluorescent light in my eyes. I squinted and groaned inaudibly from lying stiff for far too long. “Four, My name is Lena, and I think I can… talk,” I replied in a second, gulping as the man behind him moved closer and fixed his gaze on me.

- Annie Leo smiled as he read the note for the third time, not being able to control his chest feeling warm as he was seeing that Annie was opening up a little bit. It was progress, even if it wasn't a lot. "Hi," Annie looked up when Leo had sat down beside her in their English class they shared. Annie blinked, still not used to the fact that he really was trying to be friends with her. "Hi," she smiled softly, looking down at her desk. Leo smiled, finding it cute how she was still so shy around him. "I was actually wondering if you would proof-read my essay for me." "Really?" Her eyebrows furrowed together.

What she did not expect was Leo popping his head in like a lost puppy. He kept badgering Capri about having his number and for her to call or text him. After a while and not giving up she finally sent a message. Hey! Without a name or a reason. She has no idea what to say and did not know why Leo was so Adamant about her calling him. His response was almost instantaneous, what he had to say she had no words for.
