The mountains surrounding Geneva looked almost unreal beneath the morning sun.
Snow covered their peaks like white silk.
Marcus stood near the steel boarding stairs, holding his tactical rifle strapped across his chest. He offered a rare, respectful nod as we approached.
“Perimeter is clear, Alpha,” Marcus reported, his breath misting in the cold air. “Flight plan to the Northern Peak is logged and approved.”
“Good work, Marcus.”
Sean handed our luggage to the waiting ground crew.
