The group of princesses behind me made a squeal as the young man sauntered out of the crowd into the clearing in the middle of the hall. “Deucalion,” I whispered, looking at the selected prince. I couldn’t see most of him from where I stood, but he had beautiful black hair just like Valerian just longer, reaching almost his waist. He wore a red jacket over a pair of red trousers. He caught my stare, and I instinctively turned back to the announcer. He pulled a parchment from the second box and having already been caught staring at the handsome prince, the thought of having the dance with him was no longer appealing.

Laurel leaned forward, her voice barely above a whisper. “She’s real.” “I told you,” Ryan said, stepping beside me and handing me his jacket. Alpha Regal finally stood, his tall frame casting a shadow across the table. “You have my attention, Elena of the Star Raiders.” I met his gaze. “Then hear our plea.”

Leo is so angry on that creature for hurting Claire like this, he charged towards it with his Lycan speed. Lionel is shocked by Leo's sudden action. But along with the light, Leo disappeared too.

They, too, bow as they approach and say, "Luna, my name is Arthur..." "Luna, my name is Leo..." Leo stops as he gets slightly closer to take a sandwich and takes a deep breath. His eyes go wide and he looks over at Arthur wide-eyed as he steps back with three in his hands. Arthur looks up at him and shrugs and says around a mouthful, "What? I haven't eaten something this good in months... We haven't even been able to eat mothers' cooking lately..."

Leo said, as if this settled something. Dante leaned back slightly in his chair, and she caught the change in his posture from across the room, the way the set of his shoulders shifted by just a fraction, something loosening that she had not seen loosen before. He was looking at Leo the way she sometimes caught him looking at things he hadn't expected to find interesting. "What do you do?" Dante asked. Leo blinked. "I'm five." "Five-year-olds do things." "I draw," Leo said. "Mostly dinosaurs. I can draw a T-rex from memory. Do you want to see?"

Leo nodded eagerly but moved with careful precision as I showed him how to support her head properly. "Hi, Aurora," he said solemnly. "I'm your big cousin Leo. I've been preparing for you." Aurora's golden eyes focused on his face with surprising alertness for such a young pup. "She's listening to you," Florian observed with wonder. "Of course she is," Leo said matter-of-factly. "I'll teach them everything important. They'll be the smartest, strongest, happiest pups in all the territories." He gently touched Aurora's tiny hand, his expression growing even more serious.
