(THIRD PERSON’S POV) “What the hell? Why has she not been found?” Leslie growled, clutching her tail angrily and wishing she could use it to whoop someone, anyone! Better still? She would prefer to whoop a Nerd! One named Rory!! Sheila and Joy, who were seated, raised their eyes to look at Leslie, who had been pacing about the hall since they got there. They felt guilty about being seated, and as if reading their minds, she snarled angrily at them.

They all welcomed me but the one person who wanted to keep talking to me was Leslie, mid noon when she brought lunch for her wife we bonded, she was gay and she was mated to Kyla, another person who joined in on working on the house. ‎ ‎Liam hesitated, looked at Kyle, then shrugged, a little awkwardly. ‎ ‎“I mean… no.”He scratched the side of his head. “I just thought… I don’t know, he's not like that.” ‎ ‎Kyle snorted softly, “Kid thought I was running some underground drug deal or something.” ‎ ‎Selene laughed, a soft, genuine cackle that filled the space between them. ‎ ‎“Well,” she said, glancing at him with something that lingered a moment too long, “that’s Kyle for you.”

“You have no right to speak here, Kaitlyn.” Leslie glanced at the girl coldly. Kaitlyn Parson was the daughter of Hong Kong’s second-in-command. Her relationship with Leslie was less than ideal. Naturally, Kaitlyn would use the opportunity to mock her.

I’m Leo. I’ll take what Gabriel’s having,” he said. He wore a white baseball cap flipped back, his blonde hair was shaved short, but long in the front. He was handsome, his light brown eyes stared at me with interest and a hint of jealousy. As if there was anything to be jealous about between me and Gabe.

Trouble was, she got stuck with the Rejects. Margaret was busting a gut trying to find the Rejects a coach. One guy volunteered but after an hour of trying to coach us-after an hour of Susan being scary, Stefanie being a snob, Harper being late, Rosie being weird, Nora being overenthusiastic, me being underenthusiastic, everyone arguing or playing so badly it was a pain to watch-he quit and walked off the field. Charlotte Grace saw all this stuff happening. She came to the training every week, videotaping the star players on my Dad's team. She occasionally looked over at my team, secretly laughing at the bunch of weirdos I was in, I guessed.

Leslie says, sounding annoyed. “So I can’t do ‘The Kill Plan’ because I am not famous enough, and I can’t do the play because this guy thinks I am too famous?” Seriously, Hollywood is giving me a headache. She sighs. “No... he thinks you are a movie star's girlfriend whose biggest claim to fame is some naked pictures she leaked onto the internet... sweetie, he is a douchebag... look on the bright side... NCIS.” It might seem a bit rude... but Leslie has known me for a long time, and she knows it is not about her when I hang up without answering.
