I call back, forcing a smile. The car disappears down the dusty road, leaving me with one duffel bag and a pounding heart. The farmhouse door bangs open and Uncle Levi steps onto the porch like some kind of Greek god who decided to go country. Six-foot-five, sun-bronzed, shirtless, sweat rolling down carved abs that disappear into low-slung jeans. His dog tags glint against his chest, and the hug he pulls me into is… way too long. His arms are steel bands around my back, chest hair tickling my cheek, the scent of hay and honest sweat and something darker flooding my nose.

That was their initial plan, but Akira changed it at the last minute! “Speaking of the devil….” Akira whispered, “Come in.” The door opened, and there Leon appeared. He was wearing formal clothes but upgraded to be more liberated. Today, Leon is wearing an unbuttoned red polo, and his chiseled chest is on display. He then partnered his shirt with black pants and leather black shoes. As usual, Leon tied his hair back. Leon stared at Akira. He fell silent for a moment. Akira was wearing the same dress she wore when she first met Leon at the bar, but this time, it was black. She didn’t tie her hair this time so the people at the bar wouldn’t easily see her tattoo.

"Off. Both of you." They stripped without rushing. Nate methodical, folding his shirt on the chair because he was Nate. Levi pulling his shirt over his head in one motion and dropping it wherever it landed because he was Levi. And then they were bare and I let myself look, because they were mine and looking at them was one of the great privileges of my life.

That probably sparked a nut in Levi's head, he reached his thumb to touch my chin, as if you release my pouting lips before stealing them in a kiss again. My fingers searched his chest but couldn't locate the buttons of his shirt. I forcefully cut the kiss with a hard pop of our lips, realising he had a polo on instead. I took it off him. And since I had a simple light dress on, I easily slipped it over my head. Heat rushed to my cheeks as I caught Levi’s heavy gaze down on my chest. My sizable round boobs were still intact in the cover of my breast tube, but my nipples poked fucking hard against the fabric.

It turned into an awkward half-hug. Pulling back, my eyes immediately found Levi, and everything else faded away for a moment. God, he was sexy even without the usual sharp tailored fabrics that fit him like they were made for him—which they most likely were. My man wore a plain white T-shirt that had clearly seen better days, now adorned with streaks and splashes of paint that told the tale of his inexperience. The fabric clung to him, just enough to highlight the strength beneath it, and the sleeves slid slightly around his arms as he moved.

Vero pulled her outer lace closer to her body, trying to cover herself as much as possible. As Lev approached her, she turned her face towards the lake. “Put this on,” he said. And a white shirt fell into her lap. Vero looked at the shirt and realized it was the one Lev had been wearing earlier. She looked up and saw Lev was now shirtless. He really was a sight for sore eyes. Although Lev’s offer was difficult to refuse, her dignity prevented her from putting on his shirt. She just held the shirt in her hands and stared at him. “Why should I put this on?”

Levi. The glass dropped from my hand and landed softly on a nearby bench. I didn’t take my eyes off him as I stepped closer. “Levi?” I called gently. “Hey…what are you doing out here?” No answer. He didn’t move. Didn’t blink. I stared him up to down, he was shirtless, dressed like he was about to get into bed. He had to be freezing, because as covered as I was, I could feel the chill air creeping into my bones.

Levi has the whole sexy-nerd look going on. His hair is a little long, and when he's wearing his glasses it normally gets into his eyes. He tends to wear button down shirts with his sleeves rolled up, showing off a scar he got in a fight when he was younger. He's so damn hot, I swear I'm starting to sweat just looking at him.

Levi quickly swiveled to face him, careful to protect the unconscious beauty sprawled out in the backseat of the truck. Dr. Ackerman approached slowly, his palms exposed at his hips. “Levi, I need to check her. She's bleeding pretty bad.” For the first time, Levi smelled the metallic scent of blood on his mate. He mentally scolded himself for losing control—something he never did.
