Capri had moved on and could actually breath without feeling a pang in her heart. She could now think about Leo and not feel like something was missing and her whole world would just come crashing down. Work was finally getting to a place of not being utter chaos as she had a foundation of people that cared about what they were tasked to do. What she did not expect was Leo popping his head in like a lost puppy.

“Just stay calm. It’s not your fault. Stay on the line with me, okay?” I mute the call and turn to Levi and Jade. My voice drops into something colder. “I’m heading out. Take care of this for me, will you?” Levi nods without a beat. “Got it.” Jade doesn’t. He just stares. His confusion and a thousand questions are worn on his face like a fresh bruise. You’d think a guy with Krav Maga certification, former army reserve, and a résumé that reads like a UFC highlight reel would have better control over his poker face. But no.

The ringing sound of the doorbell follows. “Coming!” I get up and head to the door to find out who it is and what the person wants. I can't think of anyone who will be at the door this late at night. “How can I help you?” I question, scanning the unfamiliar figure I meet behind the door. His All-black clothing makes me instantly suspicious of him. “Are you Valery Hale?” The stranger asks back with his hands behind his back. How does he know my name? “Yes. How can I help you?” I ask again, still trying to decode his intentions.

Somewhere, in the heart of Philadelphia, a third power was rousing from its slumber. Kazuya Tekada, the charismatic boss of the Japanese mafia could be seen with his characteristic eerie smile. His eyes filled with excitement, as he was in the midst of finalizing a deal. "Yeah, yeah! I make a self-satisfied face and brush my hair off my shoulders with one hand.
