Chapter Seventy — Mended Bonds Levi Levi’s apartment wasn’t built for this many people. The open-plan loft—high ceilings, exposed brick, too much glass—usually felt cavernous and cold. Tonight it felt alive. Warm. Crowded in the best way. Levi glanced up from his desk, and his body tensed up somewhat right away. He said, voice tense, "May, I am busy. I'll meet you at home later." He turned away from me and returned his attention to the computer. He was tall and p owerful, with a sharp blue suit emphasizing his figure and wire cell spectacles perched on the bridge of his nose. For a brief time, I was in awe of him. I couldn't help but swoon slightly because I had never seen him wearing spectacles before.

The hall was so silent that you could hear the sound of his Christian Louboutin shoes as he walked down the hall, his eyes pinned across of him. Everyone stood up as they watched the man keep walking till he ascended the stage, and then stopped by the microphone. “Hi, everyone.
