Overall, the last month has been hectic but full of joy and progress. Levi is an active and curious young boy who loves spending time with his friends Lane and Cortland. His interests have recently shifted to computers, and with the help of his mentor Coldwell, he is learning how to code. He also has a strong interest in the military, and is always following his uncle Carrington around, peppering him with questions to learn as much as he can. He loves the jargon and lingo of the military and has already picked up on the march steps. He is an eager student and is enjoying expanding his knowledge of the military and computers.

I step closer, but my curiosity turns to shock as I take in the details. Levi's reading a book for pregnant women. And not just any book, one about how to support a pregnant partner. A gasp escapes me, and I nearly drop the book in the process, tears pooling in my eyes. 'Is he... reading it because of me?' No. That can't be. “I like to read miscellaneous books. I have a lot of books at home, and I just happen to have some books about the Sanskrit language.” Cole walked up to him and questioned, “What kind of miscellaneous books? Which publishing house published them? Can you recommend them to me?” Levi asked, “Who on earth looks at a book’s publishing house?” Cole stared at him suspiciously. “Where are you from, Levi?” Levi was dissatisfied by his questioning and asked, “Are you doing a background check? What do you mean by this?” Cole said, “Nothing much. I just suspect that you’re of dubious background.”

I opened my eyes to see Levi laying beside me. He was flipping through a book and I sat up confused about how he ended up in my bed. "Good, you're awake," he said, keeping his eyes fixed on the book. "What are you doing in my room?" I murmured. "Reading," was his arrogant response. "I can see that, but why in my room?" He rolled his eyes and shut the book, sitting up to look at me. "I heard you moaning in your sleep early hours of the morning."

I give him a dark look. “Why don’t you tell me what you think you know, then?” Levi is like a dog with a bone. He doesn’t let go of things. He looks all too pleased at the prospect of telling me how smart he is. He even sets his beer down so he can put that hand in the air. “One, you’ve never been able to look away from her.” He puts a finger down and I grimace. “You weren’t supposed to see that.”

“Yeah, but he is always not in the class.” Levi chuckled this time before messing my hair. “Silly, he is just in the field since he is part of the varsity. But he could not go wrong in class. He’s smart.” My brows furrowed. “How did you know?” Levi shrug his shoulder. “His name is always on the university portal, ranking third in the over-all seniors in journalism.” I widen my eyes at Levi but he is just shrugging his shoulders. “It’s obvious that you are not always visiting our portal for a University update. This woman.”

She knew she had to trust her instinct more than anyone and anything else but what she thought she was at that moment was something her mind and conscience couldn’t easily accept. “All right. Now that you trust me, I’ll do my best to help. Go ahead,” Levius said after putting back the books on the shelf. Ever since the guy came to the mansion, he would spend most of his time reading the books in the study which Zev didn’t mind at all. I asked as I enter his room. "Yeah, I need to tell you something," Levi said. "What is it?" I asked as I took a seat on the chair beside his bed. Levi took a deep breath before talking. "I, uhm. I'm really not comfortable with you taking care of me. I want Leon to do it instead." He said. "Oh, okay. I can just tell him everything that he needs to do and then I can still cook for you if you want." I replied. "That's not what I mean, Alex. I mean, really don't remember anything about us being together." He paused for a moment before continuing. "I want you to leave."

Levi's eyes softened, his gaze shifting from Sarah to me. He reached out, gently grasping my hand, his touch providing a reassuring anchor amidst the swirl of emotions. Levi's voice took on a gentle cadence, as if he were treading on fragile ground. "Jasmine," Levi began, his voice gentle yet tinged with a hint of sadness. "Sarah's situation is more complicated than it appears." His words hung in the air, causing a ripple of curiosity to spark within me.

He looked at the pile of books on my nightstand, the crumpled phone charger, the twisted band of hair ties I kept for stress relief. His eyes went over everything, but not like a creep. More like he was cataloguing, filing each detail in a mental spreadsheet for later. I avoided looking at him. If I did, I’d probably come undone.
