LAURA'S POV Sweat's beading on my brow. Dabbing carefully in order not to ruin my makeup, I exhale slowly rehearsing the plan in my head. I'd taken Liam junior to daycare since Brenda came down with a flu a couple of days back, then I'd asked Liam to wait for me at the location of the new villa which he's been so excited to show me. Liam and his team had just won the season championship—the absolute last thing that needed to be talked about was Arthur. Thankfully, Monica was willing to leave our conversation at that and head off to meet up with Peter. As soon as Liam and the others were finished up in the locker room, I was informed that everyone would be heading to a nearby lodge to really kick off the celebration. Before heading over, Liam and I returned home to pack a quick bag for the weekend. The drive over was peaceful. I glanced over at Liam and could tell that, for the first time in a long while, he was relaxed.

Even though I can't see the full body but the eyes alone indicates how close it is to me. Suddenly it stopped moving, sniffed a little before stalking over to Liam who surprisingly is no longer on the floor. "Distract him!!" Liam whispered into my ears "What??" I whispered back hoping he'd hear me but nope, he's gone just the way he came. Okay, how do I distract him??Try to think Livia, try to think!!!. I sucked In deep breaths trying to come up with a way to possibly distract a monster who's obviously out for blood.

I quickly hid behind a tree out of their range. "That's weird. Why aren't monsters coming my way? so boring." She mutters in annoyance. She turns to the people who have arrived. Seeing that there was precisely one who hadn't come, she smirks. "Looks like we know who'll receive the punishment." It was Liam. Once Liam arrived. He was exhaustedly patting and almost fell on the snow-filled ground. "I'm going to die.." He grunts. He's not wrong, though. Although JoJo and Easton arrived first, they were also trying to catch their breaths. The Mountain was as high as Mount Fuji. Venus was crazy by referring to this as light training.

LIAM'S POV Rain began to pour, startling everyone into a frenzied rush for shelter. The party transformed into chaos, laughter morphing into terrified whispers. The darkness above swirled ominously around us like a shroud, amplifying the sense of dread that had taken root in my heart. “Liam!” I yelled over the cacophony, feeling desperation clawing at my insides. “What are you planning? What have you done?” He laughed again, a low, menacing sound that sent chills racing across my skin. “You’ll find out soon enough. And trust me, it’s more than you bargained for.” His eyes glinted with a mixture of chaos and something deeper, something sinister.

I eat the last piece, biting it mechanically. Unexpectedly, a warm hand encompasses mine, bringing me never-ending warmth. Liam drives my hand towards his meat, cutting a succulent piece with my fork. "Attempt this," he delicately proposes. Drawing my hand and fork towards my face, he prompts me to eat it, arousing butterflies in my stomach. I'm currently a monster red tomato, with cheeks as red as a fire motor.
