The Marked Mate of the Lycan King

The Marked Mate of the Lycan King

I looked away, my face feeling hot. Demetrius held the metal up to the torchlight. He turned it over and over. "The engravings... they aren't just patterns. They look like teeth. Or gears." He walked toward the far wall of the library, where a massive stone archway stood. It was filled with solid rock, a door that had been sealed centuries ago. "This library was built on the bones of the Old World," Demetrius said. "They say the archives are buried behind these walls. But no one has found the way in for three hundred years."

“And I’m not used to sleeping on a bed made of vines. Guess we’re even.” I couldn’t help but smile. “Glad you’re both here. I was just about to ask Fianna for directions to the Arborum Archives.” Niamh blinked. “The what?” “The great Elven library,” Fianna explained. “It holds records that date back to before the Great War.” “The Great War of Aetherfall,” I added quietly. “When all supernatural races fought against each other.” Niamh groaned. “Why does every story in history start with a war?”

Their legacy was secured, and the principles they had championed continued to guide the destiny of their realm. The library of wisdom, a beacon of knowledge, had grown in stature, drawing scholars and thinkers from all corners of the world. It was a place of intellectual exchange, where the pursuit of knowledge was celebrated. Roberick and Cynthia often spent time in the library, engaging with scholars and exploring the boundless wisdom contained within its walls.

ALPHA'S RUNAWAY PREGNANT MATE

ALPHA'S RUNAWAY PREGNANT MATE

Mmmm… delicious. Afterwards I wandered into the vast library. There must have been tens of thousands of books in there. I stood in the middle of the room and marveled at all the books lined up on the walls all the way up to the lofty ceiling. I guessed the contents of the library must have come with the house too, because I couldn’t for the life of me imagine Jordan choosing these books. It must have taken years to make this collection. They were all old books and as I walked along I noted the categories. Ancient European architecture, philosophy, anthropology, medicine, alchemy, and a whole section on esoteric and occult knowledge.

This storyline has great potential but lacks consistency. The author is all over the place with chapters and is often hard to follow. There are many chapters that seem to be repeats of previous chapters with a few changes. Some character names are not consistent either. Overall I was disappointed.

I’m only into chapter 12 but from what I can tell the first few chapters are a rip off from a 2017 book by Celia Kyle who wrote The Werewolf Tycoon’s Baby from the series A Howls Romance it feels a rip-off other books that is forced together to make a bad story.

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

With a shared nod, they stepped inside, the air shifting to a musty blend of old parchment and incense. The library was a labyrinth of towering shelves, each laden with dusty tomes and peculiar artifacts—a glass orb swirling with mist, a dagger etched with runes, a chalice that hummed faintly. The only sound was the soft rustle of pages turning somewhere deep within, as if the books themselves were alive. Aria’s grip tightened on Rollan, her heart thudding as they ventured further.

As I opened my eyes, everything was brighter, everything was calm. As I walked into the packhouse, I went to the library on the first floor right away. It wasn't very big but the books they stored were priceless. Many of them contained history about the werewolves and what the ancestors had been through and how they had lived back then. Some books had the history of the Knights, dating back centuries.

Alpha’s Rejected Healer

Alpha’s Rejected Healer

The library was blissfully empty this early—the scholars and apprentices wouldn't arrive until after the morning meal. I moved deeper into the stacks, fingers trailing along the spines, letting intuition guide me. The section on bonds and magical theory was in the eastern corner, partially hidden behind a massive celestial globe that mapped the night sky from centuries ago.

Bonded to the Exiled Alpha

I ask, as we move back to the couch I wanted to check out a library, but I didn’t think there would be one in the palace. “There were many books in the Sigmond Manor,” Zen tells me calmly “To hunt down magic users, one needs to understand their capabilities and how they employ them. Works of scholars over the world were collected and studied by members of my family.” We settle down in the same spaces as before. Zen’s expression is distant. “Much good it did them,” He says quietly “Since it got used as evidence of the accusations, and yet, contained nothing regarding the curse placed on them.”

The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid

The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid

Darius commented as his eyes travelled along the rows of bookshelves. Salena got even more excited at his mention of the books in the central library. It had been her dream from a long time ago to set foot in there. The prince began telling her of the time that it was decided that a library should be constructed in the Sacred Chambers, and she found herself listening intently to his every word with frank interest. “Someone, I’m not sure who, suggested that the maidens should be knowledgeable in many fields and anything that may benefit their position. That person suggested building a library in this place and it has been here ever since,” the prince explained.

he asked way too politely, his behaviour nothing like the one two minutes ago. “Do you have by any chance book on the Curses? Like the ancient folklores, myths, curses and their cures?” I asked still exploring the royal library. It was the library since the time of King Lycaon. He was the one who built this when he reigns which was technically thousands of years ago. Everything have changed since then. “Umm… I don’t know there has to be one as per my knowledge, but.” He stopped midway. I turned to look at him and raised my one eye-brow, trying to intimidate him more.

Hello lovely people! sorry for leaving you all hanging in middle of nowhere. I seriously didn't get time in past month to update for which I am really sorry. I will try to complete the story in this book only. Please be patient with me as I am recently acquainted to college life.

I'm guessing that English isn't your first language. Maybe it would be best to hire an editor? Some of the grammar mistakes make for a confusing read. I have had to re-read quite a few lines and guess the meaning with context clues. I'm intrigued with the story so keep it coming!
